The kanji that Gaara has on his forehead is 愛 means "Love" and it's also part of his name wrote in kanji: 我愛羅 which is made of 3 kanji that are part of the phrase Yashamaru told him "The demon that can only love himself" Since I've start learning Japanese, I found all this very interesting!! definitely was a thing back in the days with these shows to prolong each episode for budget etc. If Naruto was made around this time it would look and pace so much better. At least with this show the pacing gets better and better

Another channel I watch does 4 episodes a week of Naruto, and even doing the same for One Piece, and it actually isn’t so bad. Feels daunting and ridiculous in the beginning but time flies. They’re just hitting the last arc now of Naruto, and I think it’s been about 2 years. Of course, the last arc of Naruto is like half of Shippuden…

So yeah, at this pace of 4 episodes we will be doing this for the next 3 years. Wouldn't be a bad idea to amp it up to maybe 6 episodes per upload or some other compromise?

It is insanely op for one use, but I swear I’ve never seen anyone use it consecutively. There may be some explanation on how it works but I think kishimoto realized how op it could be so he started using clones instead of substitutions as the series goes on.

As a casual, Substitution Jutsu always struck me as lowkey the most op jutsu that pretty much everyone seems to know. It basically looks like teleportation to me. Unless it’s like a kind of clone jutsu that uses an object as a base? It’s always confused me.

Been a long time since I watched Naruto. But read it a few years ago and its amazing how much fluff they add per episode to just prolong it in general. But i think this is just pretty common with any long lasting shows. Bleach, OP, Black Clover, Fairy Tail etc

Substitution is always logs because it uses something around you to substitute yourself with, so since they are in the leaf village there is just always trees and logs available to substitute yourself with. This may be head canon but it’s my understanding of how it works.
