2024-06-08 19:31:50 +0000 UTCI agree that the point is to escalate the fear, but my argument is that it shouldn't matter what powers the terrorists possess, as long as they're perceived as destructive and too dangerous for non-supe soldiers to handle. As far as I'm aware, Vought has no control over determining what powers a specific person possesses. Take Kimiko, formerly a member of a terrorist group, for example; her powers are somewhat basic but incredibly dangerous to an ordinary person. Most supes' baseline abilities include super strength, durability, or other generic powers, so the link is already there for any future terrorist. Overall, I don't have any major issues with it; I just found it to be an interesting and very funny choice to give this particular character such a specific power.

You're right that he can most likely easily dodge bullets, though he is technically not faster than a bullet. And we've seeen black noir get damaged with regular weapons, but again, I can't point out specifically how or I would be spoiling, so I guess just "trust me bro" lol.

It's great easy marketing, and other, more generic powers like speed/strength/laser eyes/etc just link to their own supes they're celebrating as heroes and as basically chosen by God.

A-Train got an exposed fracture from a tire iron (or something of the sort); granted, the blow was delivered by a supe, but Kimiko is not even that strong compared to the Seven and the thing looked fine after the fact, not even bended, which implies A-Train's body is not even harder than iron, so I don't believe he could withstand a .50 caliber bullet like Starlight did.

Some aren't even stronger than the average human, like Mesmer. Others might be durable, but not particularly strong; Translucent, for instance, seemed to be only slightly stronger than Butcher, but he was probably the most durable out of all except maybe Homelander.
