What’s really messed up is that the directors didn’t intend this to be a grape scene. They said it’s not supposed to be. That it’s consensual. Like, how could they look at that and think: ‘yup! Anyone getting upset with Jack is holding him to an unrealistic standard. He hasn't actually spoiled anything... We as people who have seen the show can infer things that the others can't. He does let minor things slip, interrupting the thought process/predictions of the others, but expecting Jack to be absolutely perfect in this regard is unfair. Just enjoy them watching it... Dorne resisted the dragons via guerrilla warfare. Dorne is full of mountains and caves, and the Dornish used their knowledge of the land to hide and then jump out and do surprise attacks. They resisted Aegon and the dragons but they didn’t win necessarily, Aegon just gave up and decided it wasn’t worth the loss and effort as he already had the rest of the seven kingdoms and Dorne is the absolute most Southern of Westeros. Over the years, many Targaryen kings would revive the war with Dorne but they would never win. Dorne would be brought into the fold via marriage eventually.

A battle he might have won if he didn’t leave behind his strongest weapon: Melisandre’s magic. It’s because Davos keeps on cautioning to do things “the right way” that he keeps on fumbling. Like it or not, every time he’s used Melisandre’s powers he’s gotten some kind of W (though I personally don’t believe in the leeches. The shadow baby won him a gigantic army though). Davos is a good dude, but I’d be pissed too if his “right way” wasn’t leading me anywhere.

The Dornish melted away into the desert avoiding giving the dragons a target. And later when one dragon alone attacked the castle Hellholt, the dornish defenders got lucky and shot it out of the sky. Its how peoples have fought more advanced enemies throughout history, Guerilla warfare.
