2024-06-21 23:15:39 +0000 UTCWell the fact that Goketsu no diffs Genos, it would be nice to see Goketsu in some sort of fighting action (it’s implied that he does some things based off the loud explosions heard by Suiryu after Saitama leaves him). Like one of my favorite scenes ever is Saitama one shotting the deep sea king, so there’s still potential to make it somewhat interesting. Also I agree that the whole Garou vs Watchdog man fight was hot garbage. My biggest gripe wasnt not seeing Goketsu get one shot, it was just a whole culmination of issues throughout season 2, and that was kind of the last straw. The more I think about it the more I think i’m just mad at ONE and the narrative of this “arc”. There could have been an insane fight between goketsu and multiple S class heroes, but I guess we’ll just have to wait for season 3+ for that 👀

I suppose from my point of view, I can see it being upsetting when something you love gets adapted, you witness season 1 with all of its artistic glory only to devolve into what we have now (I love season 2 btw). I started to read the manga after season 2 and after witnessing the insane art and amount of action that the next season will contain, AND finally getting the OPM season 3 teaser just to see that the same studio is working on it, I can imagine the disappointment since these are once in a life time events and we won’t ever see what “could have been”. With all that being said, I DO have faith in the studio and animators and hope that all the fights are more than just still frames with some cgi and hard impact sound effects 😂

The whole point of Goketsu being killed off-screen is to depict that, as much as for both the characters and ourselves many monsters might feel so powerful and menacing, for Saitama it's just a tuesday, it's no biggie. I was actually more mad they didn't show the full fight between Garou and Watchdog Man.

2024-06-21 04:43:41 +0000 UTCBTW, the aperture value of your camera lense doesn't really matter when you are shooting videos, not stills, maybe you should not use the auto focus, but rather use the manual focus with higher aperture, like F8 or something. That way you won't have the focusing problem and all of you will be in focus. You can crank up the shutter speed as much as you want since it is not stills.

Granted, im not sure if the fight happened in the manga (I picked up the manga where season 2 left off, so maybe I should be mad at ONE instead), but the off-screening + the still frames for some of the fights is what led to my distaste in this season. And knowing what happens in season 3+, if it gets the same treatment as season 2, it'll go down as one of the hardest fall offs in any show ever. Season 3 has the potential to be one of the peakest seasons OAT imo, so I really hope its getting the justice it deserves.

Even season 1 which was animated to perfection still missed out on capturing Muratas art at times, anime simply can’t become as detailed as manga because it would take too long.

No amount of JJK level animation would make it a better show because it's story is just dragging, not knowing where it's going. Garou as a character is the only interesting addition to the overall One punch man story. For whatever reason they decided to mostly ignore the Garou storyline for so many irrelevant tournament episodes that brought absolutely nothing of significance to the story. None of those tournament characters are memorable or have much meaningful backstories or impact on the story or on the MC, not even the guy that won the tournament. It is that bad. So many characters are just throwaway characters that we can just forget immediately. The monster association and the whole "become a monster for power" trope is so overused in fiction already so I have no idea what's interesting about it. If the writer wanted to show us how Saitama struggles to find fulfillment in life after he has already achieved everything with his physical prowess, maybe do the next obvious thing by making the second season a completely different genre where Saitama devotes his life to finding a different goal in life other than fighting. That would actually break the trope further or flip it upside down even more, which is how this anime is conceptualized to begin with. This is just more of the same.

So basically Crota was stuck fighting vex by himself for a super long time, like thousands of years. So he became really strong and made his own throne world to survive but compared to his papa Oryx he was very weak since hive get stronger the longer they live and the more things they kill.
