Mahti

NEWJEANS ❤️❤️❤️

kraekay

plz react to Faker's documentary! you guys will see how great player faker is

pls_ultra

Now that you know the songs from Worlds, I think you should react to the Worlds opening ceremonies over the years, always one of the most hype things every year from LoL

DJPiesauce

React to all the League of Legends songs by KDA.

Weeb Senpai

Yessir 😈

Brig Andrus

woah someone who doesnt blindly glaze faker and says that hes still top3 currently. respect. sadly there are too many crazy t1 fans

Hechy

Faker is still "up there" he just won the worlds, but I agree he probably isn't even in the top 5 of his respective role at the moment

Mahti

Faker isn't just the GOAT of LoL, he is arguably the greatest e-sports athlete to ever exist, he is a 4 time World championship 2 time MSI champion and 10 LCK champion. Excluding one of his teammates the player with the second most worlds trophies is Beryl who is a 2 time world champion. In his prime Faker was the best player in the world by far and received the title "unkillable demon king", but today he is maybe top 30 skill wise, top 10 in his respective role

Mahti

YES. I absolutely LOVE showing people the cinematic, they’re movie-level hype

MissJodles

As a huge esports fan, especially for LoL, I LOVE this lmao

MissJodles

I also think they may enjoy some videos about the history of LCS and comp league, and maybe some highlight videos (for example the famous faker zed 1v1)

Dylan Roy

Here is a list of epic videos you can react too for LOL related stuff. -Faker's induction to E-sport hall of fame video. (Amazing video to learn the faker lore) -Worlds opening's ( You would be mind blown to see the buget riot spends for these events) -Necrit's video about Riot MMO world is already done. ( Great video to see how extensive Riot's world is and to show Arcane is litterally just a blip in that world) -Tales of runeterra video's -Some champion cinematics ( for example Fiddle sticks >=D )

Obi Wan Kenobi

For the most recent World Championship 2023, Faker and his team T1 (with Keria in the last video) won the Worlds. It's Faker's 4th time World Championship win.

Iris Lee

React to Tales Of Runterra they are more short stories and give a glimpse of lore into LOL

Justin

I'm not sure if you are already planning this or not but the next obvious reaction for league of legends are the World Championship Opening Ceremonies. They are epic and show just how big the esport has gotten.

Kryptic

Brigg cooked rise is definitely the best

outrun_fate

Yall need to react to “Tales of Runeterra” if you want a small glimpse of all the regions in the LoL world.

Paris

I’d def tune into a gek league stream

Reese

Lmaooo McKay 48:51 and Brigg 49:15 know where it's at.. thank you boys for recognizing greatness, THE STORY CAN'T BE BEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And obv the song is 🔥🔥

daisy

Me again, commenting as I watch… 16:45 there is so much lore in Worlds 2018 music video it’s crazy (if I can find a breakdown I’ll copy/paste it in a separate comment below). It tells the story of Korean player Ambition and his team Samsung Galaxy (SSG)’s path to winning 2017 Worlds. In groups stage, SSG played EU’s G2 (player Perkz as champion Yasuo) and China’s RNG (player Uzi as champion Vayne), and got through groups/quarterfinals/semifinals to meet final raid boss Faker (as champion Ryze) and SKT (who they had previously lost to during 2017 summer split in quarters). It was an incredible performance from SSG to win finals, but it was also a brutal loss for Faker - there’s a super infamous moment of him with his head down/crying right after SSG wins that still tugs on my heart strings even 7 years later :( It’s interesting they highlight Uzi because we actually don’t see Ambition beat him in the video, he’s only seen running past him - RNG finished 2-0 over SSG and was the first seed out of their group, but they were later defeated by SKT during semis (so SSG lucked out with avoiding RNG in an elimination series). The last shot is teams of that year’s tournament looking to dethrone them. I LOVE that Cannon called out Jinx’s rocket gun because it’s such an awesome little detail - it’s supposed to be attached to a player from North America’s Team Liquid (reportedly Doublelift, who is one of the few LoL NA goats). if you couldn't tell, this one is my FAVORITE :) :)

daisy

im late, but the haircut is finesse!

morena

Riot is drops some of the most insane cinematics, trailers, songs and albums only to promote a game that the majority of the playerbase treats like a bad habit or an addiction.

Buschi

faker playing now POG

RapidStar

FFXIV Trailers next yessirrrr?

Coen

His nickname is so 🔥🔥🔥

daisy

When he said “I’ve heard the name Faker, but I don’t know if he is the goat” my heart cried out a bit ngl

daisy

Next has to be every LOL Worlds opening ceremonies

Mats Amundsen Winterstø

as someone who played league for 10 yrs, I can tell you that the relationship between players and the game can be explained as "he hates and loves the ring, as he hates and loves himself" with you being gollum and LoL the ring, but if you want to know more about how the game started, progressed and evolved and see the gameplay, historic moments, the size of community and why Faker is the goat (and a bit of Uzi story), I highly suggest you watch "From Broken Mess to Global Phenomenon: The Story of League of Legends" -theScore esports loved the reaction guys 🫶

selmak13

they gotta do the opening ceremonies for each of these years now too LOL, esp the player intros cuz faker's intro in 2022 was the coldest shit i've ever seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8Zxlsu4mUs&t=711s

engraved

whose gonna tell them Faker just got his own $500 skin in the game

dylan

Since you now know Faker, you might be interested in the videos about him being announced the First Hall of Legends Player of the game. So like the Hall of Fame in the NBA. They made a trailer and a 30 minute documentary about this where his life story is told by casters, players and himself.

Robert

And as for the Rise music video, the main character is Ambition, the jungler(one of the 5 positions in league) for Samsung Galaxy White, the team that won Worlds in 2017. The enemies he meets are his opponents during their worlds run. First is Perkz(midlaner for G2) as the character Yasuo. Then it's Uzi(the best of all time in his position, which is ADC) as the character Vayne. And lastly it's Faker(The GOAT) as the character Ryze. As for the 2023 song, it is even more special I think. The guy in the video is Deft, who went to the same school as Faker. He had never won a Worlds Championship, but in 2022, he went to the finals as huge underdogs because everyone thought they would go out in group stage, against Faker and won. To add to it, the support for Faker's team, Keria, was a former teammate of Deft and they had a very good relationship. So Deft had to beat the guy he was in school with and his former support to win his first championship. Keria in the video is the guy with the shield that sacrifices himself, he then comes back as an enemy helping Faker in the end(Deft beats them with Caitlyn's rifle, which you didn't catch). The 2023 song then uses that as it's premise.

Albin Limani

Faker is the undisputed GOAT of League of Legends. He won 4 championships(only one to do it). He won as a rookie in 2013 and then 2 in a row(2015-16). Then it took him a long time, until last year to win his next one. But it is a testament of his skill and longevity to win one 10 years after his first one. League pros have very short careers, thats why its so impressive. Also, considering how toxic the league community is, Faker is the most humble, down-to-earth guy ever, which makes him just so much more loved. Also his nickname, The Unkillable Demon King, just goes so hard.

Albin Limani

I guess we might as well get the volleyball high schoolers over with to get to the epic fighting scenes we are accustomed to. I wonder if these reactions will even be juicy

Ernesto Blanco

Faker is the Lebron of league of legends

Valor14

Lucas Cezar

and you also get to learn a lot from the professional players

Lucas Cezar

I bet you'll all get chills the whole time watching the teasers from last worlds.

Lucas Cezar

opening ceremonys are also a great go for you guys. Think about it!

Lucas Cezar

since you guys really like de competitive part of the game you should react to the teasers from the last worlds (2023), they're all with the real players before the matchups and they're all FIRE, srsly!

Lucas Cezar

They goated up in those matches too, if you know the game they live up to the cinematics I’d say

Bhen

faker is literally the goat. there is a whole event based around him going on in game right now, they made a hall of fame for him, he has 4 world championships and they made a LITERALLY documentary video thing for him recently. he is honestly the main reason for leagues continual success

Jordan Dahlager

MSG sold out is insane

Studio Geck

Dude thank you so much for this! This means the world

Studio Geck

I went to the Worlds Semi finals in Madison Square Garden for SKT vs ROX what feels like forever ago, the stadium was full to nose bleeds and it was a crazy event so yeah they get like that I’d say

Bhen

Ngl you guys are really good dudes and have helped me a lot. Thanks and I'll keep supporting you!

Ernesto Blanco

Happy to hear you guys put some respec on the Unkillable Deamon king GOAT.

Ernesto Blanco

We need some opening ceremony world finals react please !! 😇

Elouan Clec'h

Faker is THE GOAT. Faker is HIM. 😆 seriously, his plays always give me goosebumps

corLeonis

Yes please

corLeonis

You’ll get to see the characters in those!

MaraReaper

Champion cinematics next? 👀

MaraReaper

u guys should react to Necrit’s video “The World of Riot’s MMO is Already Done”. It goes over a lot of important lore with an MMO spin on it so i know u guys will really enjoy it since ur all big fans of Destiny.

olivia

Carter mentioning impact frames, this guy is NOT an anime hater anymore

TheBookerDeWitt

casually its really fun especially with friends, when you start taking it seriously in ranked and so on, it becomes a mental strength battle because of trolls/psycho players/bad players

Frosty

OK LOL i commented this before i watched... you guys DEFINITELY have to watch it now for the Faker lore, he is arguably the most dominant player in esports history

Frosty

so fucking true

maria

faker my fucking goat🧎‍♀️

maria

@studio gek riot just inducted Faker, the greastest esports player of all time into their hall of fame as the very first inductee and released a 40ish minute video + a small video on his stats that i think both would be really interesting reacts for non league players, the video is kinda of documentary style but its narrative driven by a lot of known names in league esports and Faker (the goat himself) and its put together so well that i think even without knowing the game you can get a really awesome look into just how insane this guy is not just in league, but all of esports/video gaming as a whole... even the stat video would be crazy to see without knowing the game itself lmao

Frosty

You guys should do a reaction to the rest of riot’s music, trailers and cinematics

Nightshade

I never got into mobas until the Pokemon one released. and all I'll say is I'm glad I didn't get into lol growing up. I wouldn't of left the house at all in my teen years

Kyle

oh and btw faker is actually HIM, if there was ever a real anime character in real life it's him across basically every game ever made

John

do not play the game, everything outside of the game is amazing but it's the most cancer game in existence

John

Faker is far from the best right now, bron still up there

Eiden Porter

Watch the ruination collection next!

Anton Sakshaug

this is a wild comment

RapidStar

yeah its a bummer with how long the overall event is, that they didn't have a larger league tournament. No BO5 for a finals is actually insane. But, oh well.

Aliir

Love these!

Anton Sakshaug

Absolutley dog shit format single round robin Bo3 is awful as a format

Warrington

we need some Faker highlights react fr

Brian kelly

the 23 one was the story of "deft" a player who went to school with faker who was already high rank at best at the school. every scene is a refrence to his matches leading up to this where he faced faker in the year before in the finals and won worlds against them. the cinematic is amazing if you know the "lore" behind it. its pretty much a hughe homage to defts carrier

Marcus

Official Faker Hall of Legends video that dropped 2 weeks ago. Watch the first 30 seconds and tell me you don't want to react to this next :) for real though, first inductee into the new hall of legends, video is basically "Faker Lore". Amazing watch. SAFE LINK i promise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdfVomq3lAc&t=729s

Aliir

Faker is like Bron and MJ combined

Kite

Another surprise!! Wooo thanks!

corLeonis

Not having True Damage in this was devastating to realize 😭😭

Kale

He meant what he said

Watch One Piece

Yeah others have already said it but the game at this point requires a huge amount of time/dedication to get to a point where you even have a chance to be an average player. Most players have been playing for years and have had all that time to build up knowledge. It just isn't worth it for new players to join at this point. Games are also very long and you'll be effectively stuck in a losing game and you know you're losing from the first 5 minutes and that can be soul draining. I quit because it was taking up too much time and putting me in a constant agitated state in my personal life.

Gobbo

"Hall of legends" sorry

Aliir

he also just got entered into the "league of legends hall of fame" that was just started. here is the promo video they did on him if you are interested in the "lore of faker" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdfVomq3lAc&t=729s

Aliir

It's too competitive and the player base is toxic, if u play with ur mates only it's fun

Alex

McKay changed his lock screen to Faker after this one

Alex

I think you guys would have fun playing league if you ran a 5-man squad. Knowing the champions in the game makes the cinematics more enjoyable too. Just don't take the game seriously, its not worth it.

Mario Doyle

Some of Faker's plays in League are beyond unbelievable (and there are A LOT of them), but the reason why he really is the best League player of all time is consistency. He has been performing at that level for YEARS and not even only in a single role. He is so good to the point where other pro players break down psychologically just from being faced with him in a game and their performance dismally tanks. It is insane how much discipline and dedication that guy put into his mastery of this game. I think some day he may actually think back and ask himself was it worth it, because of all the missed opportunities to have a regular life. But all that aside, his achievements are almost beyond human since no one comes even close in comparison. There is a reason why he is the ultimate goal to reach for other pro players in all those Worlds videos.

Mysterious Figure

esports world cup just started, and the league portion starts tomorrow. faker plays at 8am PST. top 2 teams from the 4 major regions are going, so its like a mini worlds. top 2 from EU, NA, China and South Korea (Faker is from South Korea)

Aliir

Ok the second one is a bit Zeeezyyy 😂😂😂 I had to literally go back to look

Mysterious Figure

the gameplay is complicated, there is 168+ champions and for every champion you can do different builds (items and runes) also you have to learn to counter the champs and the metas. you need to learn basic things like where to put your wards (light) and how to wave-control (minions) and you need to know how to play more than one character of the lane which you prefer. Sometimes you can't play that lane and you have to change champs and get out of your comfort zone. You have to dedicate a big time of your short life to be good at the game and then you just lose sense of reality. You just lose yourself, you dedicate your whole life to being better and it's addictive. SOUL SUCKING and that's just my opinion

Kim555

Would be cool to see ya'll react to top rocket league moments

Gobbo

I'll say the top 3 reasons for me : 1. The depth of the game, both strategically and mechanically, is absurd, and each year the rules changes. League is a game you simply can't ever finish. 2. You have no control on your teammates and you have to accept that there will be games where your performance will not impact the result of the game. That "tilts" anyone. And some become really toxic because of it. 3. It's incredibly time consumming. There are 5 roles with complete different purpose , dozens of archetypes, ~170 champions, and each champs have at least 5 spells. There's macro, micro, draft, wave management, back timings, objectives, teamfights, splitpushing, ganking, vision control... And any average player knows about most of those things.

Yoan Waucampt

Too addicting, games are usually 30 min long but could stretch to an hour. People complaining about toxicity never played any other game.

Watch One Piece

Faker is the goat of goats, and consistently so for year after year. Also funny how much attention they gave Ryze in the other video, because there was a time where if Faker picked Ryze you just know its over, he was THAT good on that champ, which is why it usually ends up being his ingame representation in these videos (Faker is on a different level on pretty much every champ tho)

Asbjørn Kennedy

The game is very addictive if you've the right sort of personality for it if you like to grind and want to improve and be good the learning curve for the game is incredibly steep so requires a lot more investment to be good at the game than most games and the community can be very toxic. The biggest reason for the toxicity in my opinion is if your team mates are playing badly in Apex or rocket league for example you're only stuck with them for 5 minutes in rocket league and probably less if they die fast in apex. The average league is 30 minutes for your average player. Combine that with one bad player or trolling player not playing their role properly making the game incredibly hard to win it fosters an environment for toxicty. As for the ruining life part it definitley can take over like i've been playing seriously since october 2019 and play over 1000 games a year usually. I also keep up with the 4 major regions pro play so it takes over your life plus it never ends so you'll never go play a single player game because if you're grinding you don't want to drop in skill and lose what progress you've made by taking a break. If you have more questions about the actual structure of the game I can attempt to explain or I can link you guys some videos that would probably explain a little better than I

Warrington

WE LOVE STUDIO GEKKK

Vixen

2023 cinematic is based entirely around the main character an Adcarry player named Deft. He won worlds in 2022 and this is his story documenting his failures and losses at previous tournaments and finally his success in 2022 beating out a number of his previous team mates in the process. DRX (Defts team) were massive underdogs they were the 4th seed coming out of LCK (League Championship Korea) in summer and only made it by playing through the gauntlet and then play ins at worlds. It was a really incredible run. The cinematic goes through all the times he failed as prior to 2022 he hadn't made it past quarter finals at worlds since 2014 winning the quarter final on his birthday actually. Deft and Faker also briefly went to the same school as each other.

Warrington

only when you start playing is when you'll know, it goes downhill from there.

Jenu

Fun trivia.. Arcane almost got canceled by the investors, so Riot Games decided to keep the green light at Fortiche and hired them to do music videos like RISE, everyone was blown away by it and they finally got funded for multiple seasons of Arcane.

HaveAblast

Ok I have heard this a million times but need to know...WHY does everyone say league ruins your life???😂

Studio Geck

Ok the second one is literally a Z

Studio Geck

The Lebron you mean

Studio Geck

Glad you guys like League content! Next you should react to the Worlds opening ceremonies.. they go hard with augmented reality stuff and perform the songs live 😊

HaveAblast

In burn it all down the player in blue the Damwon Jersey is a player known as showmaker. Damwon won 2020 worlds and were still hot in 2021 hence they're relevance in cinematic. Damwon made it to 2021 worlds finals losing to Chinas EDG 3-2 in a hotly contested 5 game series. A good number of teams have franchise players in league. Showmaker from this video still plays on Damwon and has done since 2017 and its the only team hes ever played for. In the same vein Faker is SKT or T1s franchise player having only ever played for them as well since his debut in 2013 and actually a 5% stake in their company.

Warrington

RISE is GOATED

HaveAblast

Now be aware, there is so much lore to drop on you guys, those World videos have some crazy references. Especially Rise.

Yoan Waucampt

You all made great points and some even made me realize stuff I had never caught eventhough I've played League for about 10 years and follow the esport Scene. Your fresh opinion with no bias makes those reaction super cool.

Yoan Waucampt

Faker is the GOAT

Watch One Piece

The guy you see in phoenix in the G2 jersey fighting Irelia the woman with the blades around her is Caps. He's from Europe and hes the undisputed Western Goat. This song phoenix is from 2019 and it's irelia because he underperformed in the 2018 worlds finals it was the first time a western team had made finals since the first worlds in 2009. Then in the post season of 2018 Caps swapped teams to G2 from fnatic who are each others biggest rivals. The mid laner from G2 Perkz role swapped from Mid to Adcarry so Caps could join the team. 2019 was arguably the closet the gap between the east and west has ever been. G2 won MSI (Mid season invitational) beating T1 and faker in the semi finals then going on to beat Team liquid North Americas #1 seed setting the record for the fastest international b05 ever a record that still stands to this day. G2 then went on to beat T1 and faker again in the semi finals of worlds. They then went on to lose the final against fpx in Paris.

Warrington

Wow I write twos exactly like that too LOL. Those do NOT look like Zs at all Carter.

Mysterious Figure

Faker is the league of legends GOAT the messi and michael Jordan of the sport. He's the most winningest player. He has 4 worlds titles to his name. He debuted in 2013 and is still playing today. he won worlds in 2013 2015 2016 and 2023. He also won MSI which is the mid season invitational which takes the #1 seed from the major regions and has them player against each other. He won this tournament twice once in 2016 and once in 2017. I'm not a complete expert but if you guys do have questions feel free to ask. I'm only part way through the video and will add more context when appropriate.

Warrington

and a "Tatum got carried" person? It all makes sense now 😔

Brady

dont play league of legends it'll ruin your life

Ryan

you guys all playing league would be insane, could be amazing but also super rough its a steep learning curve lmao

boop

yesss (the guy also didn't beat faker in that video, just a guy that looks a lot like faker), and in the next video that also wasnt faker fighting, just another guy that looks like faker who's name is showmaker. easy mistake to make lol also fyi the blind monk guy is named lee sin, and the cool guy that looks like jayce is named garen. mckay's favorite fox lady is ahri, yw ;)

boop

if ya'll are really curious about what goes on in league esport teams, i recommend a documentary called Breaking Point. It's on youtube

Charlie

yes, faker is the goat of league, hes been playing for over 10 years competetively and has 4 worlds titles. he is also a very chill guy and a good rolemodel. the game has multiples skins honoring his legacy 🐐

kivu_king

The world of Warcraft cinematics still would go hard

RipIsMySon

You really should watch a doc about Faker history in League of Legends, you'll love his story for sure, greatest e-sport player ever
