2024-07-23 20:34:04 +0000 UTCthats part of his character. Lelouch is a very emotional character who suffered alot & he tries to hide his feelings during the rebellion so that he can move forward, but in most scenes it is easy to tell, that it is just a mask he wears to hide his true feelings.

Code Geass ending is still very memorable today because of how unique it was compared to the rest of the shows for almost 20 years. Not every show needs to have an ending like Code Geass but it really wrapped up the show and people always remember it positively for that.

2024-07-23 02:54:59 +0000 UTCThe story from what ive read in the light novels revolves more on the characters and how they survive in 86 against the enemy, theres no bigger plotpoint or masterplan like in AoT with the coordinate or naruto with the otsutsuki or in bleach with soul king or evangelion with the 3rd impact or code geass with the ragnarok connection where theres a global consequence from what the antagonists want to do.

I always find it a little crazy that this story is so good despite being made solely as an original anime with no manga/source material. Also, small detail about pronunciation of "Suzaku". It's pronounced in three syllables as Soo-Zah-Koo

2024-07-22 21:51:13 +0000 UTCYo I just wanna say idk if I saw it in a poll somewhere a while back but I randomly started watching Black Sails like two weeks ago and it’s DOPE as hell. The first season is a little rough around the edges because it came out mid 2010s and you can tell it was trying to be low budget pirate Game of Thrones but it starts cooking after that and then somewhere between the end of S2 to S4 you’ll finish a scene or episode and go “wait when did this show actually get really good?” It’s a relatively fast watch too, 4 seasons 10 episodes each so it never drags or gets worse, just gets better and burns hot and fast. idk if any of you have played AC Black Flag but its literally like a TV show of that. All you could really ask for in a serious pirate show It’s also supposed to loosely be a distant prequel to Treasure Island

In fact I'm just glad that they started watching it. But one thing I know is that as the show goes on, it keeps getting better and better, so I am fully confident that it's gonna win them over like crazy, just like it does anyone who watches past the beginning of season 1. At least it doesn't pick up as slow as Naruto does, and god knows I LOVE Naruto. (no hate btw)

Code Geass is strong classic but if it had 4 seasons to cook like AoT instead of 2 it would be very close. I overall enjoyed 80% of AoT but 20% of Code Geass just wins me over.

Lelouch is also still rank 1 most favorited male character on MyAnimeList (above Levi and Luffy) since 2006.
