All of them are K-dramas and most of them are revenge or murder tv shows. But all of them are SO GOOD!

He let the brother army in, and made him and Ishido think he surrendered but acutually... kinda stuff. If you see it that way, that conversation between Toranaka and Madam Pimp makes a lot more sense in terms of story writing. There is no way they just add the scene where she just explained things make no sense and left like "I'm just a whore who knows nothing~", if it meant nothing.....rgiht?

I have one very appropriate quote (from Game of Thrones, another best show of all time) that was said at one time for people like you: "Boredom indicates a lack of inner resources". 2024-08-07 23:57:27 +0000 UTCCannon, to reiterate a part of the conversation between the brothel lady and Lord Toranaga, the brothel lady basically mentions that Toranaga is a competent lord which is why it "doesn't make sense" that he would make a simple mistake such as neglectfully letting the enemy in. Toranaga responds by saying that he is in a tough situation with the earthquake decimating his army, and that none of this is his will. The brothel lady then apologizes, says she's just a prostitute, and doesn't know anything, and walks away.... If you can pick up on the subtleties in that conversation, then the "stick of time" will make sense.

Every scene has multiple layers and as this is my third time watching it I'm still picking up new subtleties between characters which is the sign of a quality show.
