Season 6 is super overrated to be honest. The writing goes downhill because they are off book but at the same time season 6 includes a lot of crowd pleasing pay offs to storylines than have been cooking for a while now so that’s honestly why people like it a lot.

I think the whole production team and the effort that has been leveled up starting season 6 deserves to be acknowledged!!It’s got some of the best cinematography, all from colors you see, camera work to lighting, to effects and music being even better each episode!! The casting choices are on another level. All of these things make the show so special and different and still so hard for other productions to top. It does go down in writing and it’s a shame but really everything else is a solid 10/10.

Well they changed the whole arc, much like other parts of the show in the later seasons. They just removed the actual arc and added in a save the princess side quest. To save time probably. The series adapts the first 3 books relatively well imo, but they apparently didn't like book 4 and 5, so they just did their own thing from there on. It's understandable, they are slower books, they didn't want 4 seasons that would add even more complexity to an already complex show and still be 4 seasons from the ending. The problem is that what they came up with instead was... not as good. It's hard to top GRRM, which they don't ever in the last 4 seasons, but some parts of the show are still an amazing story. Dorne however was one of the parts of the HBO fanfic that was completely shit. Happens.

Third, I do want to say thank you for the shout out from Appendix Guy, he acknowledged that I can tell when Lord of the Sus @Brig pretends to not have been spoiled, and this episode clearly showed that. I mean come on, the ONE episode Lord of the Sus @Brig mentions Uncle Ben, and we get that last scene. I do want to say that Lord of the Sus @Brig's acting has gotten much better, it almost looked like he didn't know how the episode was going to go, but we all know that is not the case. The wall kinda is like a magical being. In the books Mel talks about it how her magic feels stronger near the wall and maester aemon says it feels like it gives him strength. But wights could maybe cross the wall as Jon and commander Mormont got attacked by that one wight south of the wall. There is one undead character in the books that can’t get past the wall and states it’s due to spells. Dragons can’t cross in the books but that’s “fire” magic. The full background to the wall has yet to be revealed tho so it’s a hard to really answer

One thing I love about this show is that they have a loved one get revenge for something that the person didn’t even know happen. Arya killing Meryn Trant not only got revenge for her sword master. But Meryn Trent has been the one beating Sansa for years. Arya got revenge for Sansa without even knowing that. Jon killing Janos Slynt without any mention of how Janos betrayed Ned. Janos played a part in having Ned arrested. That’s why Tryion sent him to the wall. Maybe Jon realized that Janos had a hand in that but we never see it on the show. So when he beheads Janos as Ned was beheaded it comes full circle. It’s a great way for the story to wrap up and gives closure to certain plot points. As we get closer to the end of the series (23 episodes left) they have to tie together and wrap up all these different stories. Season 6 is a lot of people’s favorite because they really put their foot on the gas pedal and start moving ahead. I’m not going to mention season 7 and 8 as there is plenty of time to get into all that later.

No disrespect at all just my opinion as a viewer I think you guys should take it down a little with the guessing I feel like every second you're trying to guess the next thing and you're not seeing the true meaning of the scene. It looses its moment. Maybe I'm wrong but that's just my opinion. I understand the frustration! But you should look at the positive also. You are watching different stories. You have teriyon you have dani you have Pod, Jamie, so many more. It's great cause it's not all happy endings life's hard and I love how this show doesn't get hooked on one character. it shows that people can be snakes, loyalty doesn't alway get rewarded. It shows the dark side of a story which is sad but unfortunately true. For example Cersi her walk was her break down. She thought she's so strong nothing can hurt her until you see her breakdown which was important to see. Her walking naked among the people feeling literally like nothing and her name her title nothing means anything that's dark!!!!! Which we never see on any other show. In house of the dragons its different cause its literally about either the greens our the blacks. You have only 2 sides but GOT there's multiple characters and houses to love/ Hate. We just can't compare them together. Hope I haven't upset anyone. Much Love.

Was the Jaqen in season 2 actually named Jaqen, or was it the name associated with the face? Is Jaqen from S5 the same guy or is it another faceless man? Is the one who drank the poison the same as either of these two? Maybe the season 2 Jaqen H'ghar was still someone and now he's no one; maybe no one is dead, or maybe not. ughhhh yeah this finale is so tough. ive not been shy about my love for jon and while there are certainly more tragic deaths in the series, his is the one that makes me the most angry. i had the same reaction cannon did honestly. i started watching this show while season 5 was airing so this finale was the first time i had to wait a year+ to watch the next episode and it was honestly a good thing because i was ready to be done with it. i needed that time between seasons to heal and want to come back to it 💔💔 but just as they came back with a great season (4) after the red wedding, i think they came back with a bang in season 6. excited for the reactions to come.

The Dornish plotline is bad, but it's not as bad as the scrapping of A VERY SIGNIFICANT CHARACTER from this season. The character and associated plotline aren't even in the show, so I feel like I can name him at this point. Young Griff is supposedly the son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Elia Martell (Aegon Targaryen). Varys supposedly swapped Aegon with a common-born infant. Some fans don't buy this story and refer to Young Griff as 'Faegon' (fake Aegon). The most popular (and likely) fan theory is that Young Griff is a Blackfyre. I don't think the Blackfyres are ever even talked about in the show. You'll learn about them in Histories & Lore as well as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Regardless, Young Griff is likely to play a huge role in the books as a competitor to Dany.

Great episode and reaction So much happens in this episode. Arya my fav im so glad she got her revenge wish she could enjoyed a bit longer. The walk of atonement is interesting in the book and a little more satisfying in the sense that all the “shame” serves a purpose. She starts to really feel some guilt for what she’s done for once and even hallucinates toward the end. It says in the chapter “The queen began to see familiar faces. A bald man with bushy side-whiskers frowned down from a window with her father's frown, and for an instant looked so much like Lord Tywin that she stumbled. She saw Ned Stark, and beside him little Sansa with her auburn hair and a shaggy grey dog that might have been her wolf”. It’s the closest thing to justice Lady ever gets in the book 😭

Brienne delivers the second most annoying fan service death in the show while Stannis' potential as a character is thrown in the trash! In the books, Stannis will likely play a much larger role than in the show. He also hasn't burned Shireen yet (since she's at Castle Black) but it's confirmed that he will. Because Shireen isn't with him, I'd imagine Stannis will defeat the Boltons and return to Castle Black. At some point after returning (or if she is sent to him), I'd imagine a larger threat will be what motivates him to burn Shireen. Jon's men kill him for doing the right thing instead of making Jon the complex character (who makes actual mistakes) that he should be. In the books, Jon is trying to leave Castle Black with willing brothers and wildlings to fight the Boltons. It's seen as more of a necessity to many brothers as Jon is weakening the Night's Watch; one of the men who stabs Jon is crying as he does it. Jon sent Alliser on a scouting mission, so he isn't even part of the mutiny. I think the purpose of GRRM including this is because his presence may have prevented the mutiny from occurring, regardless of whether he was against it or not.
