2024-08-26 09:20:03 +0000 UTCHonestly, even though the Berserk 97 isn’t terrible, it’s literally a downgrade from the manga in every way. It makes everything worse and the animation is so minimal you may as well be reading it anyway. It’s basically just watching a worse drawn slideshow. I honestly can’t recommend it. The best way to get into Berserk is to read the manga whilst listening to the soundtrack from the 97 show and 2010s movie trilogy. Reading the manga really isn’t a harder task than watching the anime in this case. Especially if they’re watching it subbed, you have to read it either way. By watching the show it’s just reading the manga with worse art, content cut out, and no continuation. Obviously you can’t react to a manga so it wouldn’t provide content, but if you guys genuinely care about getting into the story that’s the best option.
