I disagree it's better for the entire show, the pacing definitely starts slogging during Water Seven. Thriller Bark is horrendous to get through almost taking 8 minutes to get into new content which is then horribly paced.

It ruins builds ups this early on and kills the weight of heavier moments. It also uses entire scenes from future recap episodes that are hundreds of epsidoes away and are far different from the original scenes. Theyre much better off using a filler guide and skipping the full filler episodes. I'd even argue doing that is better for the entire show except for maybe dressrosa and one or two more lesser arcs

In my opinion One Pace isnt needed until much later in the show, early on it can mess up the build ups and tension in the on e piece world. Just wanted to mention that I agree with using One Pace post ts, especially for Dressrosa, FMI, Punk Hazard, and Reverie, but honestly Wano and Egghead are occasionally ruined by One Pace because a lot of the anime only fight moments are sick. Especially since the animation quality has gone up significantly! I’m sure you can find more resources online about when in Wano you should use it, but just wanted to make you aware. Absolutely love the content so far, keep it up!

It gives their opinions more weight. They are like this with every show even game of thrones. Obviously Brig and McKay are biased towards Naruto, but they just don’t watch or view other shows the same way and they give Naruto way too much lenience. But do they forget that Naruto has plenty of that too? Its fine to like both One Piece and Naruto, I love them both. But the critiques and comments they say just sound so fake when I remember things from Naruto. The comments that really made me write this were McKay saying how the mayor was so weak when he was just a "normal person like Zoro, with no powers". When thats just generic anime stuff. What about how Zabuza was one shotting all the mercenaries with a KUNAI, but it took dozens of weapons being stabbed into him to finally bring him down? Or even how countless ninja in Naruto die from being hit by kunai, but children can get struck by kunai, and even worse and shrug it off? The other comment being how Brig is so obsessed with the rope. Like yeah, thats a plot device, Naruto has plenty of them. I don't think its as weird as Naruto making a bunch of shadow clones against Kimimaro and then proceeding to just stand there while his clones got taken out one by one? I love ya guys, and will continue supporting and watching, just wish Brig and McKay would stop being so hypocritical. 2024-08-26 08:21:58 +0000 UTCi watched one piece normally and watched one pace when my sister started it and honestly (not sure about earlier arcs) but wano for example they don’t cut out extra scenes just bcs they weren’t in the manga, i think their whole thing is “if the pacing is good and the scene added something whether it is a cool directed shot or a good transition it stays in the edit” so i don’t think it’s a bad idea for them to use it for “later” during those painfully paced arcs bcs imo forcing non-anime watchers to power through those in exchange of relying on a fan project that was objectively received is gonna do them a desservice. especially if the arc itself is good but toei chose to ruin it. usually i would just recommend reading the manga first and enjoy some scenes and episodes of the anime during those arcs but we can’t do that here so,,,

Not every arc has bad pacing, and even the ones that do aren't that bad lol I think the more infamous arcs gained their reputation while it was airing. Most people binge now and the arc always pointed at as the worst paced one I didn't even notice anything really lol Maybe I'm just scared of one pace cutting out world building moments and character interactions. I never used it so I dont know how accurate it is, but I hope it is if they're using it. Some of the most "boring" arcs have important world building moments that I think a lot of people forget.

The unique sounds she adds, her use of inflections on certain words, and of course, Luffy's iconic voice—all of these elements make her performance exceptional. 2024-08-25 18:27:20 +0000 UTCUsed to think stuff like Evangelion, HxH and AoT had the best world building in anime, but re-reading the manga I’ve hopped on the bandwagon that One Piece is the best (not counting Berserk). The further you get into the adventure of OP, the more you see little pieces start to fit together in a pretty epic way. You can really tell Oda planned out a lot of this shit in advance and knew where he wanted things to go. The fights are more Looney Tunes compared to how psychological other Shonen are, but a lot of the later battles reach its own peak within the logic of the universe. Admittedly, the anime is a super slow cook and cheap in the beginning like Naruto, but you’ll get to see how the production ramps up over the decade which will be fun. The peaks will arrive someday lol

Dressrosa more specifically, it’s such a good story but the Toei anime ruined the watching experience. And it’s definitely not like what ☝🏻says. Basically its just each episode is several minutes shorter.

Although one piece has its epic moments, I feel like a lot of enjoying one piece is appreciating the small heart warming moments and interactions/relationships with the crew which y'all seem to get. Usopp's arc is one of the lower rated ones, but still excited to see the next reaction video! PS: I know Luffy's power seems kinda dumb, but Oda wanted Luffy to have a silly but powerful power that would make fights amusing even when things get serious sometimes. Pretty fitting for our simpleminded MC don't ya think? 😂
