My fav is Aoyama lol, he’s even funnier on second watch. The stage play for MHA got Aoyama a lot of screen time and he also acted as a narrator. He’s one of the earliest cast members (much earlier than other side characters) and stayed consistent through the following plays. Bro had so many iconic moments it’s fcking hilarious, the stage play director must’ve really liked his humor. Fun fact - Aoyama is always looking directly at the camera even when he is in the background. He is a 4th wall breaker

Tbh I have no idea what they find so confusing about Bakugos character like Jack every episode asks why he’s like this and that we need a backstory but we all ready got it…. Since he’s been like 4 he’s had nothing but glaze come his way because of his quirk and im sure his intelligence too that caused him to develop a superiority complex which has now been shattered ever since he’s come to UA so he’s lashing out because he’s insecure it’s not that confusing imo. Like since he’s come to UA his dream of being the only kid from his school to make UA was shattered, he was captured by a villain he had too see the person he disrespected the most reach the same achievements as him then proceeded to lose too him in training and then Todoroki decided he didnt wanna use his fire on him even though Deku was able to push him that far, he’s been shnagging L’s left right and centre. I remember a few eps ago you guys argued whether he had a superiority complex or if he’s insecure and the answer is he’s insecure because of his superiority complex lol.

That cut at 1:08 had me dying, caught me so off guard God that frame at 56:54 is so bone chilling, I love it, I'd say it's one of the most well known panels from the manga and even though it's still good in the anime it still doesn't quite hit like the manga panel, Horikoshi Kohei's artwork is just too damn good, I'd say you's should search it up but you might catch a stray spoiler so maybe not lol. S3 is gonna be awesome, I'd say this is when a lot of people really get hooked like I went through the episode list of S3 and it reminded me how stacked of a season it is. Also justice for Aizawa you's just aren't seeing the vision, the homeless look is exactly what's good about him!

Personally I really love season 4 so I’d have to say 4,6,7,3. I just think that the villain in the first Arc in 4 is one of the best villains in the show. The second arc has two of the best characters in the show and the final two episodes have one of the best fights in the show.

What Recovery Girl said about Izuku and Katsuki's attitudes towards the final exam is very accurate. Izuku treats All Might like a fan might treat their idol. They meet them, they interact with them beyond cursory greetings if they're lucky, but they don't usually dare to push the boundaries or even veer off from the "I worship you" path. Izuku looks up to All Might so much that he can't even IMAGINE a scenario in which he (and by extension, them as a team) could beat him. He literally blanks out and instantly decides that the only option is to run, which Katsuki quite obviously beats him up about. Katsuki's behaviour is def influenced by his anxiety about Izuku improving. Even All Might points it out. But he's too proud to admit that he thinks he might be in danger of falling behind someone he was weaker than him all his life, and lashes out aggressively instead to keep Izuku away from him. He rejects his ideas, his presence, even his VERY existence in his life, just as he's done for the past few years. But then he says "If I have to get help from that scum, I'd rather lose." and we see Izuku's reaction to that is an indignant, almost angry "Don't YOU say that you'd rather lose!" It's shown through the flashbacks that Izuku admires both All Might and Katsuki. He admired them for different reasons, and for Katsuki, it's how he always wins (despite Izuku's admittance of his awful behaviour). So hearing Katsuki admit that he'd rather lose infuriates Izuku. Because how could someone he admires for that very quality, whose entire existence revolves around that single thing to Izuku, suddenly say that he'd rather throw it all away? It's absurd. It makes him mad. So he punches Katsuki in the face for it. It's one of the first times he does so not out of the obligation to fight/spar/train, but because he WANTS to. But then they come to a compromise. Katsuki compromises because changes the terms in which he views victory in the exam. It went from beating up All Might to beating him up just enough to make sure he can't follow, and then running to the escape gate. Izuku also finally understands why Katsuki is so intent on fighting All Might head on. Only now, they have a plan instead of just Katsuki rushing in recklessly by himself. It pains Katsuki to have to "lower himself" to get help from someone he always thought was beneath him, who is now someone threatening his place as "the better one", but he does it anyway, through tears no less. He pulls back the pride, the rejection, and perhaps even the jealousy to win. Because that's what he ultimately wants. A win. On Izuku's end, he still struggles not to treat All Might like one would treat a god, but when he hears Katsuki destroying his body just to win and failing, he pulls himself together. Because Katsuki needs "saving". He's trapped under All Might, he can't get out, he's exhausted his firepower from overdoing his huge explosions without his gauntlets, and he needs help. And Izuku will always, ALWAYS, run to help those who need saving. It's who he is, like All Might says. So Izuku turns back. He jumps up and flies straight towards All Might. His expression is now a smile, unlike before when he was desperately trying to get out of All Might's grip, looking panicked and horrified. He smiles, albeit chillingly, and punches All Might in the face - something that he would never have considered if not for his determining that Katsuki needed saving. He overcame the admiration he had for his mentor and hero in that moment, and walloped him in the face to carry out his lifelong goal (to save people with a smile just like All Might does). I just think this episode is packed with so much nuance. And after knowing what happens down the road, this episode means SO much more than it originally does. It carries weight. It hides emotions. It explains so much. It is quite literally a masterpiece in telling Izuku and Katsuki's relationship.

Izuku and Katsuki's fight in S2 Ep 24 is one of those episodes that leave people thinking, at least for me. On my first watch, I remembered thinking that I understood what each of them were saying and talking about, but still feeling a sense that something was missing. Like there's a tape being played, but there's a film over it that makes the images blur a little. I can still tell what's going on, but there's ultimately something deeper beyond what I'm seeing. Because Izuku and Katsuki's relationship is one of the most complex things about MHA. The emotions they hold towards each other, that are both obvious and hidden, and sometimes suppressed or even denied by themselves - everything is so jumbled up due to the complexes Katsuki harbours, and Izuku's own inability to let go of someone who seemingly wants nothing to do with him. Plus, it doesn't help that they both look up to and admire the same hero, albeit in very different ways. Understanding a character like Katsuki takes a LONG time. I can understand wanting to know more about his inner thoughts, because that was so me during my first watch too. But they'll def touch upon him more in the future. Patience is the key with Katsuki tbh HAHA!

Just so much stuff happens and the real story starts Also I don’t understand the Aizawa glaze either. I love him but he doesn’t do it for me 😭😭 And let’s go mineta he’s comes through lol. Love carter not hating especially when we call Jariya the goat and he’s an old man who should know better. Mineta is problematic though but I think the show does a good job at punishing and letting us know this behavior is wrong. Ah I can’t wait for season 3. MHA watch order goes (ideally + reasons): Season 2 -> Movie 1: Two Heroes Season 3 -> Season 4 -> Season 5 (Ep 1 to 12) Movie 2: Heroes Rising Season 5 (Ep 13 to 25) -> Movie 3: World Heroes' Mission Season 6 -> Season 7 (Ep 1-4) -> Movie 4: You're Next Season 7 (Ep 5-21) Something to note is that Studio Bones messed up the order of the arcs in the second half of S5. So originally, the last two arcs should have been in the opposite order. Just for you guys to know, movie 2's events technically happen after the last arc in S5 (which was supposed to come b4 the second arc of S5). And accordingly, movie 3's events technically happen during the second arc of S5 (which was supposed to come after the last arc of S5). I just wanted to let you guys know about the differences btw the anime and canon manga timeline, but perhaps suggesting to watch movie 3 before movie 2 wasn't the best way to do that. What i got from the Bakugo fight was that a hero has to win all the time and that there is no time for weakness cause if ur gonna be the top hero, u cant be seen losing on the big screen or crying all the time. Society is held together by the feeling that a hero will always be there to save the day. Bakugo is too harsh on himself and others i agree but watching that fight made me learn sooo much about him.

I love that the deku and bakugo vs all might showed both of their motivations and how they powerful those two things can be when they actually decide to work together. bakugo's overwhelming desire to win and midoriya's overwhelming desire to save people. both of them put themselves at risk in different ways. and for the aizawa thing, he's got that grumpy on the outside and soft on the inside thing going on. an emotionally intelligent and responsible man. peak female gaze. I used to swear season 2 was better than Season 1 but now I think the opposite. Too much low points on season 2 even though it had the best moments as of now. So much of the side character's stuff isn't that interesting, too much school bs for me nowdays too, I didn'tind it years ago but I do now. Too much exams and tests while Season 1 felt like a big and steady boom from 0 to 100. Stain and Deku vs Todoroki are awesome, everything else was kinda meh. I also hate how stupid the characters become and how more convenient things keep happening in these exams for the sake of the melodrama.

Bakugo is such an interesting character. It is so hard to write a character that has a superiority and inferiority complex at the same time. I will not spoil anything from the future but just until now. Bakugo has been glazed all his life. He was extremely smart, he had an amazing quirk and is just good at everything. Everyone around him, be it adults or children, has always glazed him and made him think he is the best. So, he was a big fish in a small pond. Everyone around him was normal and he was special, and he was reminded of that every single day by everyone. Then he gets into UA and he sees how everyone is at least on his level and there are way better people. That shatters his whole worldview and makes him even more of a crashout. Also, we see in the flashback that unlike Deku, he took a different meaning in All Might. He idolizes him, just like Deku, but where Deku idolizes him for how he saves people, Bakugo idolizes him for how he always wins. And you can not really say that any of them is the definitive aspect of what makes a hero. There is not really much you can gain from flashbacks with him, he will just keep evolving.

Two new characters are introduced and that means more goated voice actors join the cast: 1. Dabi is voiced by Hiro Shimono. He voices Connie from AOT and Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. But in my opinion his performance in MHA is easily his best, one of the best I have seen. 2. Toga is voiced by Misato Fukuen. Unfortunately she does not voice anyone you know, but her performance as Toga is amazing.
