Tryin to catch up with the Naruto havent watched yalls progress for a while!

Damn these last few batches sucked ass. I can't tell you how much more it sucked watching week by week. Half the people I know fell off watching during this time. A literal year would go by with barely any plot progression. So much filler and even when we get an millimetre of non-filler, it's 90% flashbacks and 10% fights nobody cared about. Edo tensei is such an ass pull that sounds like it would be cool but just isn't fun to watch. The pace of the show slows to a crawl and it's so hard to get through the episodes. I think the peak of Naruto was definitely the Pain arc and the few arcs that preceded it. There is still some great stuff to come, but it's few and far between imo.

The only Boruto content I recommend is 'Boruto: Naruto the Movie'. It gives a good introduction to the new characters and hits deep after finishing Shippuden.

18 is based on the Boruto one-shot 93-95 are based on the shinden 106-111 are also based on shinden 282-286 are based on retsuden and manga Some of the episodes you marked as filler and called garbage are actually anime canon or based on the novels/manga and contribute a lot to the main story. like 1-15 are anime canon and a good intro You even labeled episodes 128-136 as filler that’s diabolical

Good Boruto watch guide. You can find them on reddit, since the traditional sites don't list them accurately. Some Anime canon episodes are a must IMO, including the first arc. It builds Boruto's character well. The rest are a toss-up. The fillers are pretty garbage. Manga Canon Episodes : 19-23, 39, 53-66, 148-151, 181-189, 192-208, 212-220, 287-293. Anime Canon Episodes : 18, 35-38, 71-92, 105, 141-147, 157-180, 210-211 Filler Episodes : 1-17, 24-34, 40-52, 67-70, 93-104, 106-140, 152-156, 190-191, 209, 221-286

The issue with Boruto is they jumped the gun in making the show, so there's entirely too much filler. They tried putting out more of it to give the mangaka time to write, but it just makes the story very disjointed. The fights are really good though, but that isn't a surprise at this point. The next part of the manga is supposed to be better, sorta like OG naruto and shippuden, the characters will be older. Also, Asuma sensei telling them that he doesn't have anything left to tell them is his way of saying that their "training under him" is officially complete. He's saying he's proud of them for becoming the shinobi that he knew they could be.

If y’all watch Boruto one day, I’d recommend manga only episodes (not the filler or half filler episodes, just skip it, the anime filler tried to ruin what the manga was doing well). You don’t have to watch the Boruto movie since it’s in the tv show manga episodes, with updated animation, one of my favorite fights in that.

I love one piece bleach and Naruto so much and the idea of comparing them in any black and white way just never even crosses my mind. It’s so unfortunate the amount of needless hate in the anime community. Boruto manga canon episodes are all great because the boruto manga like the Naruto manga is great because it’s kishimoto. Is Boruto as good as Naruto, no… but for any true naruto enjoyer who isn’t just some hateful person I know you appreciate the manga canon stuff because anything kishimoto makes it special and forever personal to me. I love one piece I love bleach I love Naruto idk why everything has to be this comparison hateful battle with people saying each other opinions are trash and what not. The whole point of characters like Luffy, Naruto, and Ichigo are spreading love and positivity and getting all this hateful negative energy out of other people. I disagree about the Asuma stuff even though I understand why someone wouldn't like it. Choji could only really be tested like this by someone he doesn't want to harm no matter what. It would be silly if he had to be told by everyone that he has to help defeat Kakuzu. I do think Asuma should have mentioned his child and kurenai before being sealed though even tho I like that he has nothing more to say to his students since they've fully matured

The reason people hate Boruto is the same reason people didn't like that part of the war. When these episodes were released, and every few weeks you knew that months of filler were coming, everyone wanted the main storyline to continue. Everything that wasn't part of it was labeled as bad. In hindsight, these are actually better episodes than most people initially thought. What Cannon said is true, it's really unnecessary to revisit characters we know, but overall, it will all come together in the end

Boruto enjoyer here. The show has like 40-50 good-peak episodes along with hundreds of complete dog. Not worth the watch imo. It drags on like Naruto but also has random ass arcs that are straight up boring and useless. If yall really want, I would recommend just watching the best episodes and the ones leading up to that. Otherwise youll just be going through a masochism simulator.

While most of Boruto is trash, I unironically think there are a lot of goated episodes in Boruto that are worth it. In the summer of 2021 I remember almost every episode was 8.5+ with some of the best fights in all of anime. Jan 21’ to May 22’ was my peak Anime Era between AOT, Boruto, and Demon Slayer.
