Even if the old man that appeared early in TB was the hint at others being on the island, it feels really convenient for them to pop out where Luffy happened to be at the time and go "We know the secret🤓☝️" I think it would have been better if it foreshadowed someone taking shadows like the ones in the zombies Brook was able to defeat.

2025-08-01 06:26:12 +0000 UTCThe point of the Clima Takt is that on its own it's not that impressive, it can just make small things like hot air, cold air, and reasonable electric charges. Then Nami is able to use her knowledge and intuition of weather phenomenon to combine those small things into weird effects like mirages and giant thunderclouds. If it was just inherently really strong it would kind of take away from it being Nami that makes it strong.

It’s almost like they’re showing us what happened manga panel to manga panel without taking into account that the standing there and talking without doing anything part is just odd. Keep in mind though, that One Pace/Manga wise, these two episodes would fit in one so it normally wouldnt feel like as much of a drag. Still, my favorite part about this has always been the fact that e fighting together against one enemy. Nonetheless, watching the evolution of One Piece fights is interesting, to say the least.

2025-08-01 00:25:04 +0000 UTCRemember Geks, One Piece has always been weekly for 25+ years, they never had the production times/budget like seasonal animes to create amazing fights for every episode although it does continue to improve gradually, especially next arc. However, episode 892 is when One Piece production really starts to shine and since then it's been insane production levels for a weekly anime. You guys are currently 1/3rd through the available story so far (probably around 1/4 for the entire story) so just enjoy the ride because you can only experience this story for the first time once.

2025-08-01 00:13:36 +0000 UTCThe way they float in slow-mo like gravity just gives up, then outrun the camera on magically spawning terrain... is irritating asf 😂 Toei sucks at translating manga to anime but i get that they have to release weekly episodes. Every damn movement has that exaggerated slow-mo sway like everything’s dodgeable, then the camera cuts to recycled reaction shots & extra laughing & screaming. Animation and directing has the power to make any scene immersive or lifeless and boring so Toei is defs to blame for much of the fatigue and drag cause this fight is nowhere near as long in the manga.

I know the perspectives and angles make them all seem close but to fight a giant like that they must be couple hundred feet apart between groups so they can't just immediately get to each other and help

Something like fire would hurt a little but lightning, which Luffy has never experienced because he is rubber, would hurt that much more because it's a new sensation.
