Hey guys! Happy Year of the Rat and all that!
I'm sure most of you are familiar with me from the 40k Makers Discord or from my work on thingiverse but for those uninitiated my name is ThatEvilOne. I am a Vancouver based Professional animator who four years ago now decided to start dabbling in the 3D modeling side of things after buying a shitty old Printrbot Play. After coming across Garins old marine and dreadnought builders I was hooked. Things quickly spiraled from there and soon I had an Ender 3 and now an Epax1. The community has grown so much from the days when it was just 6 of us sitting in a small tiny discord but damn do we have some real talent in the community these days!
If you're familiar with my work you know that I pride myself on dynamic pose work. The ability to sell a character from just a stance or to capture the explosive dynamism that would take place on a Sci-fi battlefield is something that I draw deeply on from my Professional Career in animation. Each of my models, while not modular like the ever impressive Makers Cult creations, will tell you a story of that models current actions. Even if that story is a simple as scratching his ass on sentry duty bored out of his mind.
For my guest appearance on TMC I decided that since it is the year of the Rat and considering my own plans for mid summer (More on that below) it'd only be appropriate for me to drop two entire squads of Rat cultist proxies on you all! 10 with CQC weapons and 10 with a hodgepodge of Rifles and carbines. They're already scaled to popular 28mm scaled wargames and even though they look frail have been tested for fragility and have passed every test print they've gone through. If these aren't enough for you though, or if they have ignited a burning desire for more Sci-fi Rat goodness you're actually in luck! I have also been in contact with the One Page Rules Team to produce a Cheese Stealer Cult army roster much like Garin is working to produce their Battle Brothers miniature line. I'll be launching a Kickstarter in late June or early July for them and you can expect in excess of 100+ miniatures, each with their own unique pose. If that interests you or you'd like to check out the chaotic whirlwind that are my other projects be sure to follow me on either Patreon, Instagram or the big 40k Makers Discord for progress pictures and updates!
Cheers all and thanks again to the TMC team for the opportunity
