Plan

Hey there, whoever reads this. Thought I'd give some general information and a plan.

First off, Secret Dawn is an adult (18+, NTR) RPG with open-world and mystery aspects. The first release is on its way. It will contain the prologue of the game, and it's currently about 25% finished, narrative-wise. When it's done it should be about an hour's worth of gameplay.

Some development details: This will be a one-person project; I (Haldane) have creative control over the programming, writing/narrative, and art rendering/asset creation. I'm already several months into the process and things are going great so far. Even though only about 25% of the story is done, the bulk of the work for the first release is complete.

Extensive modifications have been made to the default RPG Maker environment, with custom programming that changes basic mechanics. This is all to better convey a semi-dystopian, complex story full of lust, betrayal, and intrigue. These custom systems are still being ironed out, but they are shaping up well. Working thoroughly on the technical aspects now will pay dividends later on, as it gives me much better tools for creative work. I'm already reaping benefits of this in the rate of progress, as much of the groundwork has now been completed.

Like many other RPG Maker and VN games on Patreon, the game will be released "episodically", with a regular updating-schedule where each iteration extends the main story and adds to the content in general. Membership here on Patreon will be made available once the initial version is finished. It will come with a few weeks of early access. As of right now, I estimate that will be in February.

With that in mind, here's the plan for how I will handle this Patreon page in the future:

1. Weekly progress reports (each Saturday)

2. Monthly game updates/releases (on the 1st of each month)

That's a simple outline, I may have to adjust this regular schedule if it turns out that having less frequent updates is better for quality, etc. Anyway, that's it for now. Soon, I'll post again to talk about the themes, narrative, and content of the game, which might include some screenshots.
