Seb's May poll
Added 2019-04-09 15:44:31 +0000 UTCAfter reading through the hundreds of suggestions in our former polls and questions, I will focus this month on the dark side of the mechanics adepts. I propose 3 original possible designs. I really enjoy involving patrons in my design process and objectives, so feel free to toss some additional suggestions, here or through discord.
Below are some reference pictures that may reflect one of the aspects I want to explore this month : glass vats. These are just suggestions in order to illustrate the different possibilities i'm offering.

Also, here is a prototype I made and printed last month, using cheap and easy to find parts. Transparent sheets are A4 laminating pouches and LED are $15 10x pack remote controlled multicolour Ø30mm tea lights :

Of course, I will include versions of the model that don't require any other hardware stuff.
Have fun,
Seb

2019-04-09 19:45:27 +0000 UTCQuestion: what glue do you use with the laminating sheets? I know off-gassing from cyanoacrylates fogs up clear plastic, so how do you keep yours so clear? PVA glue?

2019-04-09 19:44:29 +0000 UTCAll of those look AMAZING!!! Of the three, the robot looks the best to me, but I’m good with any or all. The idea of using laminating sheets is such a no brainer. Why didn’t I think of that before???
