Auto Gain Stager

Hello Everyone,

Here's my latest plugin, a utility plugin that automatically gain stages for you!

What this plugin does is listens to your track for a couple seconds (start playing where the loudest section is and hit the "Listen" button), and gain stages for you.

In Peak Mode, it calculates the highest sample value and pushes that down to whichever calibration you choose between -12 to -21 dB.

In Average Mode, it calculates the average RMS and does some Landon-Algorithm-Goodness to make it gain stage to the calibration. Note that this average mode is not good for consistent/limited signals. It will be inaccurate for those types of signal. It's best for dynamic material like vocals, drum bus, etc.

Features:

- Automatic gain staging to the calibration parameter you choose.

- Trim knob with -100...100 dB of gain multiplication in case you need to further adjust the gain.

- Listen button that will re-listen to the audio if you started playing in the wrong spot or listened in silence.

- Phase flip button to invert the phase.

Mac:

M1 and Intel - AU & VST3

Windows 10:

VST3

DISCLAIMER - KNOWN BUG ON LOGIC RUNNING ON M1 MAC

There's an issue I haven't been able to solve that only happens when using Logic Pro on an M1 Mac not using Rosetta. The plugin user interface will freeze when you close and open the window for the second time. This will not affect audio processing and does not happen when you first put the plugin on the track. This will not happen on Intel Macs, M1 Mac running Logic Pro in Rosetta, or any DAW besides Logic Pro on M1 Mac.

Comments

The Mac download is an installer that you can run to install the plugin. The Windows download is the vst, so you drag and drop it in your VST3 folder.

how can i integrate it with fl studio ?
