Chemistry lesson at BELLY U

The Chemistry Lab at Belly University hummed with energy as students filed in, eagerly anticipating today’s unique demonstration. Professor Garvin, a charismatic figure known for his bold teaching methods, stood at the front of the room, a table of colorful chemicals and equipment spread before him.

"Good afternoon, everyone!" he announced, his voice carrying over the chatter. "Today, we’ll be synthesizing *Vaporium Bloatate*, a compound both fascinating and—shall we say—volumizing. This demonstration will show exactly why we emphasize safety in chemical reactions. Mei, would you like to assist?"

From the middle row, Mei raised her hand, her pink safety glasses catching the light. "Of course, Professor!" she said confidently, stepping forward amid the encouraging cheers of her classmates.

"Excellent," Garvin said with a knowing grin. "Now, for the sake of demonstration, you won’t wear the respirator. This will help the class see firsthand how the gas interacts with the human body. It’s perfectly safe in small doses."

Mei hesitated for only a moment before nodding. "Alright, Professor. Let’s do it."

Garvin gestured to the equipment. "We’ll start by combining the ingredients: this silver liquid, the glowing green powder, and finally, the amber syrup. The reaction releases a gas that affects the surroundings—and you, in this case."

Mei followed his instructions carefully, pouring and mixing the substances. The class watched with bated breath as the mixture began to bubble and churn, emitting a faint green smoke that thickened with every stir.

Garvin spoke over the hissing sound of the reaction. "The vapor produced here has unique properties. It causes temporary tissue expansion, both externally and internally. Observe."

The gas curled around Mei like mist, and within moments, her petite frame began to change. Her stomach swelled, pushing against her fitted shirt and lab coat. The first button popped with a soft ping, followed by another, as her belly rounded out like a balloon.

The class gasped, some in awe and others in barely-contained laughter. Mei’s belly grew larger, resembling someone carrying multiples to full term, her lab coat finally hanging open to reveal the tight shirt beneath. She placed her hands on her distended midsection, eyes wide with surprise but a smile forming on her lips.

"Whoa," she said, laughing nervously. "That’s...unexpected."

"Precisely the point!" Garvin exclaimed, gesturing for the students to take notes. "This is why safety protocols are critical. Mei’s growth here illustrates the direct impact of exposure to Vaporium Bloatate vapor. While this reaction is harmless and will reverse in a few hours, it showcases how chemicals can dramatically alter their environment—and us."

Mei shifted her stance, adjusting to the new weight in her midsection. "I’m still okay to finish, right?" she asked, her tone lighthearted despite her larger-than-life belly.

"Absolutely," Garvin said. "You’ve done wonderfully so far. Now, just finish the synthesis."

Mei carefully poured the final component into the beaker, her rounded form swaying slightly with the motion. The bubbling mixture settled, leaving behind a golden fluid at the bottom of the flask and a faint green mist lingering in the air.

"Brilliant work, Mei!" Garvin said, applauding. The rest of the class joined in, their laughter and applause filling the room.

As the demonstration concluded, Garvin addressed the class. "Let this be a reminder: chemistry is powerful. Always respect the reactions you create, and never underestimate their effects. Now, any questions for Mei about her...experience?"

Mei, still smiling, patted her enormous belly. "Honestly? It’s not bad. Kind of fun, even!" The class erupted in laughter again, with a few students jokingly volunteering to go next time.

As the students filed out, buzzing with excitement, Garvin clapped Mei on the shoulder. "You’ve been a great sport today, Mei. Well done."

"Thanks, Professor," Mei replied, her pink safety glasses slightly askew. "Next time, I’ll volunteer for no respirator again."
