Weekend Snippet Poll!

Weekend Polls - Voting begins!

1.Slime in the HP Universe

In the dungeons below Hogwarts, in the subterranean levels, the levels to which the other three founders turned a blind eye to. The place where Salazar Slytherin conducted his most secretive, magically conductive and Dark oriented experiments.

A Dungeon marked by the Dark Arcane Magics, where magic, spells, rituals, potions combined with the mad genius of Salazar Slytherin create the most dangerous spells that would reverb through time.

The founders, knowing of their friends’ tendency for human experimentation, turned a blind eye to his activities while limiting their interactions with him after making sure that only war criminals and wizard hunters were used for his “Dark” experimentation.

Salazar, in his infinite wisdom had decided to delve into the science of soul, the magic of manipulating one’s soul to speak the language of magic (parselmouth), the ability to split one’s soul to create a phylactery to stave off death once were few of his magical masterpieces that found their way into the modern wizarding world.

BUT what if? What if Salazaar was working on something else, a way to create a soul, to create life from nothing but some inanimate objects and magical essence from the Basilisk, an essentially immortal creature. His magnum Opus, so to speak.

What if Salazaar ended up performing multiple experiments, combining anything he could find or bribe his fellow founders into giving up, to create something that might give birth to a soul. Alas, every experiment he did seemed to have failed, leading him to abandon that research entirely.

In his last few days, fearing the consequences of that magic, he purged all his records on Soul creation and deleted all of his notes, save for whatever diluted version of his magic he recorded in the Hogwarts library and the Slytherin Family Manor, before sealing all the failed experiments.

Centuries later, a talented Parselmouth would one day gain access to the Dungeons below Hogwarts and come across the discarded remains of the experiment. Finding no value in oddly coloured liquids that he thought to be expired potions, the talented mage took everything of value from the Dungeon and left.

The talented mage began frequenting the Dungeon that he considered his place away from home, leaving his residual magic in the very air, stirring something in one the same discarded potion containers.

One such day, the talented mage decided to clear up the clutter in his Dungeon and thus, he drained the wasted potions into the Hogwarts drainage systems, unknowing that such close proximity to his magic had awakened something that had been sleeping for centuries, sealed in magic insulating containers.

Now, this same fluidic creature, borne with a Soul, has awakened.

What would this lead to?

2.The Dome maker in MHA

He came to consciousness in his mother’s womb, having shared it with six others of his kind. Only, he soon realised that he was not the same as his family, if he could even call them that.

He was much better than his entire family, he could tell that even at a very young age. He was stronger, faster, smarter and had the uncanny ability to know everything that happened to his body, allowing him to provide much better safety and protection for his family.

And he did, he made sure that his family had all the food it could need, all the safety from predators and the shelter from the elements, allowing them to live and breed in peace. Unfortunately, his family was not as blessed as he was, as their natural lifespans quickly came to an end, dying to their own offspring as he watched his extended family try to eat his now dead family.

He didn’t know much about life in general back then but he knew that being alone was not good, even for a predator because he had grown up with his family all around him. So, he roamed the forest that he was born in. The deeper he went, the bigger his opponents became and the harder he had to work to win, hunt and then eat his hunt.

For a while, even that was fine for him, basking in the thrill of the hunt. He realised that he recovered much faster than anything he had ever seen in the forest, simply by eating the corpse of his enemies. Eventually, even that fun ended, as he realised that he was simply the strongest animal in the forest, the strongest creature in the forest.

During his regular fights, he had realised that he had a small glow all around him, something that he could not previously see because he was not evolved enough for that.

After an unknown amount of time later, he jolted awake from his sleep in his personal cave as he felt something approaching his forest. His awareness had expanded far beyond his body and now covered a healthy portion of the forest he was inhabiting, allowing him to know exactly where everything was, making for easy hunting for food.

Some sort of oddly shaped bird had entered his range, heading towards the forest. The him from back then had been intrigued, getting up to see what this new bird was, only for the bird to crash into the ground and then explode

As he was now, he knew that it was a bomb that destroyed most of the forest but he was much weaker back then and ignorant back then.

He survived that blow with his ability but seeing the destruction of the forest he had called home all his life stirred something in him, leading him to, for the first time in his life, go down the mountain of forest that he lived in, and into the human settlement at the base of the mountain.

From there, he found a human in a remote area and as his instincts flared, he plunged his claws into the human and devoured him. That was all he knew back then, eating his hunt and then becoming stronger from it.

He never questioned it back then but he knew now, it was his ability to devour and get their characteristics.

That single devoured human gave him everything he needed to become a whole other level of lifeform. He gained the ability to think critically, to speak, to get the ideas on how to better use his abilities and more.

On, how to make a REALITY DOME.

–Fast Forward a century—

“We have planted a tracker on Bakugou that is now active and transmitting his live location.” One Momo Yaoyorozu informed Principal Nezu and All Might in his depowered form as they discussed how to get Bakugou back.

Nezu checked the tracker and confirmed that it was accurate.

AllMight, realising the severity of the situation, said, “Nezu, I think I need to use the favour I owe him.”
Nezu’s eyes widened as he then nodded in realisation, “You are right. We can’t afford to mess it up. But are you sure? You do realise that if he left his post, it might create upheavals we might not be able to bear, especially with the HPSC breathing down our necks.”

Toshinori Yagi grimaced but then straightened, “We can’t risk the life of our students just for political neutrality. I will bear the responsibility if I have to. Just ask him to be there, please.”
“Already sent the message. Now, it is all up to him.
“That is all we can do. Let’s go,” Toshinori Yagi stood up and got out of the office.
