This was great. Just finished watching the whole thing with my gf. Legitimately surprised by how good Nemona was in gen 9 (that, HG/SS and B2/W2 being the only ones I haven't played), just a shame about the rest of the game.
*Thank you* for giving Blue his due. He always struck me as being a sarcastic 10-year-old who you're actually friends with. My favourite exmaple being "I'll grab a map from my sister, don't bother asking for one yourself though; I'll tell her you don't deserve it ;p" And then you go to his sister and she gives you the map, almos like he was just being performative about the whole thing.
I'd put gen 6 over gen 3 personally, just for how pretty it is, some personal preference and the fact that the late-game isn't entirely caves and water. Plus, the companions in gen 6 are just nice. Calem/Serena are blander than bread, but Shauna is legitimately cute and the other 2 are nice in that they're just kind of there and just vibing the whole time. If I want to replay a pokemon game and I don't want the absolute simplicity of gen 1, I'll pick gen 6.
Edit: Me and my gf tried Sacred Gold and Storm Silver and she had a minor panic attack when the 1st gym busted out a White Herb Solarbeam against her Rock-type XD

as someone who has grown up with the series since i was very very little, seeing this project was really refreshing. ill admit, seeing the praise for heart gold and soul silver did make me a little nostalgic as those were the first games i ever picked up in the franchise. i think i might just replay them because of this.
