Hey Patrons,
It’s time for another public update on what we’ve been working on for Lin & Partners! As this is a public update, it will cover some things included in previous month's Patreon blogs, but there's some new stuff in here also!
We feel it’s important that all supporters of L&P get to see what we’ve been working on, even if the content is in an earlier stage— so we hope that work presented in our updates won’t be judged as if it was final. Any feedback is appreciated, however!
Our environment artist has been working on assets for the Garden game mode and polishing the graphics of existing scenes, particularly those created during early development.
One of the major changes implemented is with interior locations, which now have consistent wall heights and a new wall cut-away shader that allows the camera to be more dynamic in interiors.

Tamashiro has been making solid progress on the OST over the past few months, with roughly 2/3 of the soundtrack finished. While we’re not ready to share the tracks as there’s still some mastering work to be done, here’s a quick rundown on what he’s been working on!

We’ve also been working on completing more final art assets for the game, particularly for story and battle sequences.
For now, here's a look at the finished sprite artwork for the black dog yaoguai, Alexander! He also has multiple poses and expressions that will be seen in the game itself.

One of the major gameplay aspects we’ve been working on and refining is the debate gameplay system. This mechanic has gone through several iterations throughout development to this point, but we believe we’ve put together a fun real-time battle system!
While this system is currently fully-playable, we’re been working on improving the UI, polishing the mechanics, and completing artwork assets. We hope to be able to share a deep dive into this gameplay in the future!

Please note: that the above footage is in a test environment with some unfinished assets, it’s heavily a work in progress!
Next month we hope to finish the in-progress music and more character artwork! Plus further work will be done on gameplay systems.
