๐ข Critical bug resolved for 60 members; creator access program postponed
Added 2025-01-20 01:19:31 +0000 UTCSome important news we have to share:
A critical bug affecting 60 canceled members, which prevented them from using the extension while still being a member, has been identified and fixed. Affected members received a gift link with 6 months of free membership.
The creator access program, which was intended to provide free Browser Mode access via YouTube/TikTok login, is postponed due to a number of reasons.
Critical bug affecting some canceled members fixed
Some people who paid for membership and later canceled it were, for some unknown reason, downgraded to the free tier by Patreon. Our code mistakenly treated this free tier as the primary one, which broke the server logic and caused the error.

It is a big mystery how such a significant issue remained in the shadows for so long. We have not touched our server code since 2023, and our privacy commitments, along with some laziness, led to us not logging any server-side errors. As a result, we were not prepared for this situation to occur.
We don't know why some canceled members are being reduced to the free tier while other canceled members are still treated as paid ones. However, a temporary workaround is in place, and we will improve the system to always prioritize the highest tier in the list of entitled.
If you are a patron and encounter a critical error, please drop us a DM, and we will look into it. We dedicate time every day to help you, so don't be a stranger!
We have identified every single person affected by this issue and sent them a gift with 6 months of free membership, and 12 months for the person who reported the bug. Check your DM if you think you were affected.
Creator Access Program Postponed
We have decided to postpone the creator access program, which was meant to give content creators free limited browser mode access using their YouTube or TikTok logins.
There are several reasons for this decision.
The main issue is that the time is not right for launching this program.
Our product is not ready for content creators yet. We need to make some changes to allow hiding IP addresses, as revealing them during recordings or live streams could violate YouTube and TikTok policies. We also need to improve the core product, as it is still alpha and many bugs have come to light in recent weeks.
Additionally, we need time for our user base to rotate. We want to bring in new users who are not tied to our legacy supported platforms and reduce our usage on them to <1% of the user base. If we donโt, we risk being stuck on them, which could leave a huge attack vector for the platform to exploit like targeted manual bans of creators using our softwareโsomething we had not considered before.
Furthermore, there are significant geopolitical events currently unfolding that we believe we should consider before launching such a program. We anticipate that it would be more appropriate to launch once omegle alternatives are less used for political content we do not want to be a part of, even though our combined user base in the affected countries is less than 5%.
