It was so awesome to witness your Lord of the Rings journey :D 🤲 One additional thing regarding Frodo and your analysis at the end: he was the one who stepped forward and volunteered to take the Ring to Mordor in the first movie. While everyone else was arguing and letting politics take over in the Council, he did the brave thing :) I think a lot of why people like Smeagol/Gollum (maybe including your sister) is because of Andy Serkis' brilliant acting 😅 That said, I think he is a great character independent of that! I think you really nailed it with analysing Aragorn! I honestly never saw the connection between his feelings for Arwen and his reluctance to become king. To make a long story short, the Witch King was given a prophecy a very long time ago that basically said he will be killed, but not by a man. Then it just so happened that Merry (technically not a Man, aka a human) stabbed him with a magical dagger he had received in a scene that didn't make it in the movies; and, while weakened, Eowyn (technically not a man, aka a male) finished him off. The movies, obviously by necessity, really simplify Denethor's madness 😅 We basically only witness the end of his downwards spiral in the movies. He basically had to defend Gondor for decades against Sauron, all the while having a personal contest of wills with Sauron via a Palantir (the magic sphere thing) that he had. Couple that with his own personal tragedies, he eventually broke. He was so driven to despair that he simply could not believe that Faramir was still alive. In fairness to him, he did his job competently for decades, all the while holding off Sauron. Just as an example, in the books, it's not Pippin and Gandalf who light the beacons of Gondor, Denethor already did that 😅
