OTHER NEWS! - Poll: Vaporeon VS Gatomon, Incoming Shimeji, Important Pokémon Updates, etc.

Here we will see few other important news about what has been done and what is coming, information about Polls and such more general stuff.

1)   ALL SHIMEJI HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO THE VERY LAST VERSION.

This means all of the Shimeji in the cachomon.com website have now the 1.0.21.
The version is 1.0.21 but it says 1.0.20 because of a human error. In next version will be fixed :3

If you are the owner of a non-downloadable Shimeji feel free to ask me for the private link or you can also update it yourself :3

2)  ALL DEX PROJECT POKÉMON HAVE BEEN UPDATED INTO A SUPERIOR VERSION.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO REDOWNLOAD ANY OF YOUR FAVS :D

2.a) Them all start being an Egg now (all but Ditto, because of its own lore; and MegaSteelix because Megas won’t be allowed to breed Eggs in our Shimeji).

This Egg is like a new form of the character :3 you can move it around and rub it to make it hatch. If you let it be, it will hatch by itself after a bit.

When the Egg hatches, you have a chance to get either a Regular or a Shiny. If that species has sexual dimorphism (male/female differences), it will also have a chance to be one or the other :3

2.b) The ones that evolve, now do it in a more practical way. The frames are split differently so now they weigh less than before.

2.c) All of them had few other minor updates here and there to improve them a bit more. For example, their names have now 4 digits, since there are more than 1000 unique species already in the national Pokédex.

3) ALL SHIMEJI have now a modern .ico image inside.

Most of the old Shimeji still had the old .ico format there, which gave a smaller and uglier image when used. For those who don’t know what is the .ico image for, is to custom the folder of that shimeji and make it look like that image instead of the regular image of a folder :3 pretty cool and useful when you have lots of them!

4) FUTURE SHIMEJI:

Apart from the mentioned in the previous post, there are still few things in the oven and we already know few of the future commissions we will have.

· Kodachi the Buiwott Shimeji:
New Buizel FC version. It’s not exactly a Buizel but the shape is almost the same. It’s a character called Kodachi, and is a Buiwott (fusion between Buizel and Dewott). This one is already in progress :3 I am doing this one myself with Tetsumon’s help.

· Sonic the Hedgehog Shimeji:
As you may have guessed, thanks to the Dearbuss Shimeji we have been able to build Sonic as well. I can tell you that Luxro is doing an AMAZING job with it, and is a very fun Shimeji to run. We will start showing it as soon as it gets finished. We hope that with this character done, it helps all Sonic fans to get their FCs into a Shimeji too :D with this one done will be cheaper than from scratch! Sonic is so cool and had to be done. This one will need a Campaign though, won’t be downloadable from the first day. But every FC people orders will help this Campaign to advance! Dearbuss will already count for it!

· Campfire Shimeji:
This is a GREAT and so COOL idea someone had! It will be a very simple Shimeji, with maybe 2 or 3 animations only, just to be there where you place it, with a non-stop flame and few cracking sounds for you and your Shimeji to relax UwU.

· Plusle and Minun Shimeji:
After Bergmite, 0b1nary will make Plusle and Minun. They will have their individual parts and a together version with few interactions! This can take a bit to be started due to IRL stuff on his side, but as soon as there is something to show, it will be shown :D

· Poll Winner Shimeji:
This month there will be a multi-site Poll (in few days, I gotta prepare some stuff for it). It will be a battle between two characters. The winner will be my next main Shimeji to work on :3 so you can have some guesses hehehe. Still, if time allows will be nice to do one or two fast Pokémon inbetween (like Larvitar or Slugma).

5) MULTI-SITE POLL INCOMING:

As I mentioned in the past month post, there will be a big Poll this month. It will be between two characters: Vaporeon and Gatomon.

This Poll will be in:
- Discord
- Ko-Fi
- DeviantArt
- Patreon (Patron votes will have more weight determined by their pledge)
- External Site for Polls (not sure yet if will be needed this time)

Once I close the Polls, I will gather all the results into an Excel File. Will apply all the Patreon Weights and then see who wins. I will announce the winner as soon as I have those final results.

Some cool things about both characters:

VAPOREON:
If Vaporeon wins we will have a new Eeveelution for Eevee. I don’t have very fancy stuff for it but minimum a convert-into-water one would be there :3 probably the fall and maybe to swim in the run or dash.

The Shiny version of this Pokémon is not very appealing, so I would make an alternative Shiny as I did with Espeon. And for sure I would do a white version of Vaporeon for those people that are interested in it (if you know why, you know, if you don't, you don't). All SFW though. For further stuff it will have to be commissioned after it’s finished.

Vaporeon itself is a pretty hard Pokémon to draw and its long tail will probably require wider images in almost all actions. This will be costy. But at same time is not a Pokémon that requires lots of extra actions so I think it will still get a balanced price overall :3

As I did with all the others until now, there will have to be a Mega Vaporeon action. The one I designed years ago is not good enough so I will have to redesign it. Let’s say it will have few Suicune traits, reminding of the legend of Ho-oh and the theory that says that the 3 beasts were born from Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon. I love that theory and legend, so I want this to be part of it.

No idea which would be next Eeveelution after Vaporeon though! Another Poll will be needed for that in a future. The ones left are: Jolteon, Flareon, Leafeon and Glaceon. My favorite from here is Jolteon but the four of them are like the least popular overall so we will see what people votes.

GATOMON / TAILMON:
If Gatomon wins we will have a second Digimon Evo Line going on. Gatomon is not a Rookie like Gabumon though, it’s a Champion (next level).

When I started Gabumon I started with the Baby and In-Training levels first, mostly because I still didn’t have a code base for all this. Now that there is one, I will be able to start on Gatomon directly and then work in the pre-evolutions.

Gladly, Gatomon is easier to draw than Gabumon, so should be more straight forward and less frustrating to get done :3

The cool thing about Gatomon/Tailmon is that it has many cool “recolors” such as BlackGatomon or Mikemon. You can see an image of the three above or here.

CONCLUSIONS:
I love both species, and both will be an excellent addition to our collection :D
Both will also give opportunities to people with FCs of those species order their characters for a lower price and with it, to contribute to their Campaigns.

And last but not least, for those who consume NSFW will be able to order updates on these to make some different stuff.

Both species are very wanted and I love both, but I cannot split unfortunately. So with the Polls we will see which do YOU prefer to be done first :3

You will be able to vote in ALL the Polls, and the most these spread the better! Will give a more fair result.

Gatomon can give lots of cool recolors such as BlackGatomon, Mikemon and lots of FanCharacters people may have. Vaporeon could get apart of the normal shiny, an improved shiny (I personally don't like much the official one) and a white one (if you know why, you know, if you don't, you don't).
