I love how that show answer question without telling you directly. I don't know if someone told you or if you already watched it but you should watch the end credit of episode 12 till the end ;)

For your question about when Eren's father did this whole attack, based on what Hange was saying in this or last episode (lost track just watched all 3) it happened basically same day as when the Armored and Colossal took down the wall (So same day, give or take ,Eren's mom died). Is what I gathered anyway from these episodes watching again.
