One-Faction-Down (III) [Chapter 197]
Added 2023-07-12 19:56:08 +0000 UTCThe beams finally stopped raining down and Albus looked around himself in complete horror as almost fifty people were killed in an instant. He had witnessed a lot of horrible things during the Wizarding World War and the last War, but he had never witnessed something this horrible… What pained him even more was the fact that he could only watch while Harry mercilessly killed all of them.
A lone tear trickled out of his eye as he took in the carnage around him… He didn’t even notice the fact that the foreign pressure bearing down on them was also gone… Albus whirled around and glared at Harry who was slowly coming down with a self-satisfied smirk on his face. Until now, even in a corner of his heart, Albus held some hope for Harry, but no more…
Harry was simply too far gone to be redeemed. In his eyes, Harry was no different than Voldemort, an unrepentant monster…
“You are no different from him!” Albus spat out with a hard look on his face and for a moment, Harry seemed to frown at his words. Harry never liked being compared to Voldemort as, in his eyes, Voldemort was nothing but a failure… The man possessed so much raw power along with a group of fanatic followers, but he still failed to take over Wizarding Britain. It was beyond shameful.
“I am nothing like him…” Harry pointed out blandly, but before Albus could retort, Harry spoke up. “He is nothing but a failure… He had so much going for him but still failed to take over Wizarding Britain. Within a few hours, I succeeded where he failed” Harry added with a scoff. The sphere around him disappeared and Harry waved around at the remaining Aurors and Hit-Wizards.
“Just look at them! Just look!” Harry insisted until Albus finally looked around. Even though most of the Ministry forces were still alive, none of them looked like they were going to fight. Albus could see what Harry was trying to say… Harry might have left them alive, but his actions have killed their morale… “They are not going to oppose me anymore and with them out of the way, the Ministry is ripe for taking” Harry shrugged.
Albus clutched his hands tightly as he glared at Harry… “You are still not going to win. Light will always prevail over the Dark” Albus pointed out in a determined tone. “As long as there is someone who doesn’t give up, you won’t win” Albus assured Harry with burning determination in his eyes, and at his words and at his words, Harry simply snorted in amusement.
“You are talking about yourself and the Order, right?” Harry asked, but he didn’t wait for Albus to answer before he started to speak again. “The Order is nothing but a joke if you really believe that the Order can beat me, then you are the biggest fool in existence” Harry scoffed as he was already planning to shatter the Order into smithereens.
To be honest, the Order was pathetically weak and ineffectual, but they were annoying as fuck as the Order was filled with Dumbledore fanatics… Even if he killed some of them in an attempt to scare off the rest, it wouldn’t work, since the rest would keep believing that they could still win, and they would keep coming after him, as just like Dumbledore, they also believed that Light would always prevail over the Dark.
He would need to kill them until nobody was left to stop them from coming after him… They were annoying just like that… Even though Harry wasn’t squeamish about killing every single one of them, he didn’t want to do it if he could help it… Their deaths would be a massive loss to Wizarding Britain and the Wizarding World as a whole as Wixen were already low in numbers.
Thankfully, there was something else Harry could use to break the Order… The Weasleys were prominent members of the Order and if he could convince Molly Weasley that her brothers were sold out by the great Albus Dumbledore, then it would be a sight to see… Harry had to admit, it was a good plan, but there was very little Albus wouldn’t do to keep the Order together.
Either way, he wasn’t worried too much about the Order as he could always kill them if the plan failed…
“Probably I am, but evil can only prosper if every good man decides to do nothing” Albus shook his head as he held out his Wand, planning to fight Harry. Yes, Harry was a lot more stronger than he imagined him to be, but Albus was certain that the boy was probably exhausted after using so much Magic… Though before Albus could cast anything at Harry, Gellert appeared in front of him.
“A~A~A~ He is not your opponent Albus…” Gellert wagged his finger with an amused look on his face. “Harry, can you make sure nobody could interrupt us?” Gellert asked as he glanced toward Minerva and Filius.
“Sure, but I want him alive and knocked out” Harry declared as he floated toward Minerva and Filius. He was certain that the Ministry forces were dealt with, so he wasn’t worried about them trying anything, but Alastor was still alive and kicking so he might try something. Harry decided to keep an eye on the scarred man as his feet finally touched the ground.
Harry had heard a lot of good things about the duo from his mom, so it was kind of an experience for him to meet Minerva McGonagall and Filius Flitwick for the first time. The woman looked kind of sick due to the carnage and even Filius looked really guarded… It was pretty obvious that Harry had fucked up his first impression. “Hello, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, I wish we could have met under better circumstances” Harry greeted the duo smoothly.
“I also wish for the same…” Filius replied in a disappointed tone while Minerva simply glared at him. “Your mother was my favorite student while your father was a close second” Filius said with a reminiscing look on his face. “If that tragedy never happened then you may not have turned out as you turned out to be” Filius looked at Harry in complete disappointment.
“Probably not, but nobody can change the past, can they?” Harry asked, ignoring the intense fight going on between Albus and Gellert. Neither Minerva nor Filius said anything to that.
“What now? Are you going to kill us too?” Minerva asked sternly, but Harry could see the clear worry in her eyes. She was glancing toward Albus from time to time, but from what Harry could deduce, she was more worried about her students than she was about Albus and from the look on Filius’ face, he was also thinking along the same lines.
“No, I have no quarrel with you or your students, but I needed to prove a point… Hence the chaos and destruction” Harry said as he pointed toward the collapsed ceiling.
“Then why did you make an exception for Severus?” Filius asked curiously. He wasn’t delusional enough to think that he could beat Harry, no matter how ridiculous it might feel, so he simply decided to simply talk with Harry, so he could at least make some sense of the whole situation. Harry was nothing like his parents, it was clear as day, but there must be some reason behind his actions since unlike Voldemort, he wasn’t killing everything in his sight.
“He is the reason why Voldemort started to look for us in the first place… He wanted to earn himself a place in the inner circle, he is the reason why I am an orphan, so there is no way, I am going to spare him” Harry revealed, shocking both Minerva and Filius. Even Alastor, who was trying to creep behind Harry, clearly heard him and he was shocked too.
Alastor, who was planning to attack Harry from behind, finally realized that it was Severus who took the Prophecy to Voldemort. “No. No. It can’t be! Severus really cared about Lily!” Minerva protested vehemently, but Filius snorted at her in derision.
“He might have cared about her sometime, but he sure didn’t care for her anymore after he called her Mudblood in their fifth year” Filius huffed. Severus was a horrible man, Filius didn’t have any doubt about that. He was a fellow Professor and he bullied students. He had taken it up to the board, but every time, Albus had interfered, so he simply gave up. So, when Harry told him that Severus was the reason why Voldemort went after the Potters, he completely believed that.
“And you know the kicker?” Harry asked with a grin on his face. “Albus knew that from the start, but he still decided to protect him” Harry declared with a cruel grin on his face, and Minerva started to deny the accusation vehemently while Filius simply snorted as once again, he believed Harry. The only reason Filius came to Albus’ rescue was because the man was fighting Gellert Grindelwald.
“Alastor, you know, you shouldn't lurk around” Harry called out loudly and for the next couple of seconds nothing happened. Then Harry rolled his eyes and flicked his hand to cast an Exploding Curse at a nearby rubble. Alastor rolled out of the rubble before the Spell hit its mark. “Now, that wasn’t hard, was it?” Harry asked with a smirk and Alastor simply scowled at him…
