Hey guys - small exclusive video here in case you are interested.
As you know I rarely perform here in Russia. Sometimes people who know me - they invite me to perform a couple of songs. I don't like singing without a band with an instrumental track that is saved to my flash-card. But sometimes I'm ok with that - if it's just one or two songs. That was an anniversary of a great organisation, which is doing many amazing things to the world, such as anti-drug campaigns, human rights, saving people's lives and stuff. They had a Rock'n'roll themed party, they asked me to sing 3 Rock'n'rolls - I did Kansas City (Beatles version), Long Tail Sally (Beatles version) and Blue Suede Shoes which we filmed. They flew me and Konstantin from Moscow just for one day. So we had 2 sleepless nights - both on the plane.
Funny thing happened: the plane steward recognized me - before we took off he came to me and asked: "Are you Alyona Yarushina?" I said - yes! He said: "Oh you are one of my favorite singers, I watch your YouTube channel all the time - I already told about you to all my collegues".
I was soooo surprised, this coincidence made me feel funny, but happy that I made this YouTube channel and kept going despite of anything.
Everything went smooth, I was happy to see the opening bridges again, they do that every night approximately at 3 am. Not everywhere in the world you can see this type of bridges.
We live in that part of Moscow where it's only 20 minutes by bus to get to the airport. To fly to St. Pete takes only 1 hour and 20 minutes. One guy met us at the airport and drove us around in a night city. In the afternoon next day instead of going straight to the party place we really wanted to go to the centre and just walk on the main street - St.Petersburg is famous by it's amazingly beautiful monuments and buildings. We wanted to take the train in the underground - it works and looks a bit different then in Moscow. So we spent some great time there by ourselves and then went to the party. After my performance we went to the airport and at 5 am flew back to Moscow.
