I use grammerly but it really doesn't get that much, it gets proper ellipses and some spelling but it misses things like word choice. i find it have to read things out loud a few times and space it out so i don't get fatigued of the same story and miss things even after consecutive run through. As far as a proofreader for what i['m posting its probably not something i'm too worried about hiring, though if I get bigger/start writing things that might be published to a broader audience (I'm considering it) then I would definitely want one

I have a standardized layout which includes double spaces between sentences, a space between tabbed paragraphs, proper elipses (...), and a special spacer for scene/time skips. Basically, I use Word and check grammar with spelling as I fix those pesky single spaced sentences.
