Before returning to the Citadel, to his manor, or before returning to action? And…why? I mean, on one level, I’m pretty sure that it’s TFD saying “Time for a switch to H-Zac POV!” On another…I’d DZac saying that he’s going to spend some time outside the memory domains, where the time flows differently? Or, is he going to work on finishing the blueprint for his core? Or upgrading some other aspect of his cultivation? Maybe making that jump to Peak D Grade? After all, Idiche did just tell them last chapter that they weren’t strong enough to do what Esmerelda needs. And to Zac right now, helping Esmerelda is his immediate goal.

However, there is a chance that he finds what he needs during the trial, without the system to help shield him. He’s already found some amazing stuff. Not too hard to imagine that he will find more. I’m also curious to see what happens to the Fuxi gate after it incorporates the Fantasy and Continuum energies it absorbed after the tussle with August. That might help as well.

2025-09-24 16:26:10 +0000 UTCAlright, judging by the comments on my comment, you all seem convinced zac is going to somehow survive breakthrough to Peak D grade in the trial. So I raise to you all, go back and read zacs breakthrough to Late D grade. Read all that and tell me how the hell he'll survive as he is now. Because the 2nd bolt had hints of law in it for his breakthrough to Late D grade and something tells me all 5 tribulations will have law in it for his breakthrough to Peak D grade. The Fuxi mountain gate also won't work right now. Both bodies must enter so as to draw the full might of the tribulation into there, the void, thereby weakening it; and its rather hard to have both enter when theyre both in different courts with no way to return. And even IF agreeing to rekindle the flame somehow lessened his tribulations, it still won't matter if there's enough law to erase his core. A core that's in the middle of a breakthrough and unable to put up even a fraction of the resistance possible if he was done with his breakthrough and could at least fight back. Next; tell me what the hell does Zac gains from breaking through to Peak D grade right now? He doesn't even have all his skills at Late D grade and and all his equipment is lagging WAY behind him at the moment, with Verun and haro still at early D grade; meaning any gains from a Peak D grade core isn't rendered nearly moot. Seriously, zacs time would be far better spent upgrading his skills and perfecting his current strength than to worry about breaking through to Peak D grade during the trial.

2025-09-24 14:16:32 +0000 UTCMore than a year now. With years to go. I suspect that TFD is saving the changes to Earth as a big reveal after the Event is over. IIRC, ch. 1,269 was a road map. The only thing throwing me is that Zac’s title hasn’t upgraded. Not sure what that’ll take. If he runs into one of his Sealbearers who stayed on Earth instead of going to the Centurion Base, we could get a partial update. They would have popped into the Event several months or so after Zac and crew left.

She seems really well positioned to step out of the dream. Senses something is off with her environment, thinks that Zac is somehow related to it, but doesn’t know so much that she has a bunch of karma with her status as not real. He’ll have to thread that needle.

As well as zac being unable to breakthrough to Peak D grade in the trial. Still, how he retains that perfect core will be interesting given his breakthrough to Peak hegemony will be so rough, having 10 lives wouldn't be enough. Thankfully zac has more lives than a primordial cat. And esmeralda got a unique treasure to help her store more treasures. Treasures at much higher grades to boot. She will certainly come around to the lodge when It helps her knick a few top tier treasures as well as her much need spatial treasure. In fact, I feel like she'll outfit the lodges' interior into something truly fitting a dragon toad on her hoard of wealth. And more lore dumb coming Thursday...... or maybe not? Kinda feels like this is a good chance for a POV change.
