Chapter 1,420.

Comments

Zac’s Quantum space is pretty special and unique to him because of his Technocrat heritage. If other Cultivators don’t have a Quantum space to house their Core what is the space their Cores occupy called? I’m not 100% sure how all the different inner spaces are connected, like his Soul Aperture, Dao continent, Duplicity Core and Quantum space but it seems like his Cultivators Core is in his special Duplicity Core. Do regular cultivators just house their Cores in the spot that Zac’s Duplicity Core is located? Where’s that

John

I dont see it happening any other way if A grade factions come to the frontier for a B grade accession

Ron Whitlatch

Heh. From Zac’s musing during his last breakthrough in the Centurion Base. “As for his breakthrough to Peak Hegemony, Zac would likely have to search beyond Zecia unless the System Exchange store remained when he returned from the trial.” Silly guy! This also underscores why he wanted to make sure he got the key materials for his inner world why he was here.

Jeff McCulley

No idea about last part, but as far as I understood once you become C grade you are pretty much pocket dimention and your "body" is just an avatar that you project. By that logic Supremacy is pretty much lower plane based on their daos, but it's not fixed into some place like hells or gardens. I wouldn't even be surprised if abyss is creation of sacrifice of multiple A grade cultivators' heavenly territories from previous era and has some qualities of lower planes, plus most of Really powerfull Supremacies can express heaven through their dao.

SandreX

I dont think theres any real matchups. Its pretty much a no rules free for all, any alliances or fights can happen. Some wouldnt fight against each other unless they have to, like zac and iz. Others would just look for opportunities, and fight if they feel they have a chance. Ofc the sangha is universally hated so good luck for them.

Hellasz123

Would be 900x9 or 90x90

Siethrobo

I do kinda want to do a meta analysis of what it means when you become a monarch. Basically, your core is a cosmic engine, anchored to the Dao tapestry. Do your nodes go in your core? Because your race upgrade to C is based on your core, it sounds like you get a Dao based composite body; like void vayja sublimation performed. When Zac saw his mother ‘s Autarch body it was bigger than earth; and other fights implied monarchs have a mass greater than imagined. The core is an inner world, which is your own realm, any representative inside can grasp on the dao. Can others inside your realm work on concepts of the dao you are not associated with?

Salvo

2h15m = 8100 seconds = 900 x 900 seconds since the number 9 seems to be playing an important part in this Edit: 90 squared, not 900 my b TFTC!

Tommy

So what are the matchups for the culmination of ultom? Zac vs primordials both of em? Iz rematch with Kaltosa Tavza vs a baldie or ? What’s everyone thinking/hoping for?

Justin

Yrial? I wonder if he’ll finally tell Zac the spot he went missing, so he can go looking. He’ll still call him ugly. Brazla, however, might actually be friendly. He actually looked healthier and saner at last sight. Rava will simply be…pleased.

Jeff McCulley

Chapter 1272 is the beginning of book 16. Book 15 ended with Zac working on his high D-grade core upgrade, the Kator fight, and the kan’tanu pope and his sector being destroyed by imperial weapons Zac directed.

Salvo

When Zac was in the Centurion Base, where it found the Tribulation Throne, he was given a choice of which "Road" to choose: The Imperial Road would see him follow in the footsteps of the Limitless Empire, binding multiple factions into an Imperial Nation with him as an emperor. I can't remember the exact name of the second Road but it was based on exploration, he would seek out the mysteries of the Cosmos, the many treasures and troubles hidden under the heavens, or something like that. He chose neither, he began forging His Void Road, he would take what he need it and owe nothing to anybody, free from shackles form all factions and even the Heavens itself, something he's been trying to do since the end of the Integration Arc. It hasn't been mentioned which Road Karz followed but considering his affiliation with the Limitless Empire it could've been either of the two. Zac's "New Road" is not as good as the other two, the Eternal Guardian in the Ensolus Ruins told Zac he must remember the 4 Laws, right now his Void Road is breaking the Law of Balance "Whatever you take from the Heavens must be returned or repaid to the Heavens" Zac is aware of this flaw and is interested in fixing it. Unfortunately Fate is forcing Zac to move forward, his core might be perfected but his "Road Path" is far from it thus earning the wrath of the Heavens just like Mox, Jalach and any other "Evil" out there.

Omiso

Im super keen to see what Zac's 'Master' says when he returns to the Attwood Empire and shows up to the Dao Repository as a peak Hegemon in under a century with outrageously enormous stable foundations. He was already complaining about Zac's lucky encounters before the war arch started

Ben Sheahan

Can anyone give me where this book started and the last one finish, be much appreciated.

Arthur

Dr. Subterfuge or anyone, can you give me a reminder of what EXACTLY the Void Road is again? I remember it is his own unique Destiny he tool instead of the Imperial Road path where he would have folded under the LE Destiny and all that but he chose the Void instead. I once thought oh Zac is choosing the Voids as the predominant pillar of his Path versus the Dao, which still could be the case. I also thought it was also alluding to Zac, knowing or not, chose Kars over Laondio. Karz as we know would represent the Void while Laondio would of course represent the Imperial Road and Destiny and such. Is that also the case? More importantly, what precisely IS it? I need that answer so I can try and more accurately decipher why his Tribulations are so crazy. The Heavens usually dont just outright try to murder everyone that ranks up. The fact the vast majority of people survive their Tribulations, even before the System began helping with them, means they are meant to be survivable. How is this Balance here though? I mean black is the worst Tribulation Lightning the heavens can hurl at you and this one starts there right away and it looks like it will be the full 5 bolts too... How csn it even pretend this is Balance? Also, Mox ALL the way hid from the System and the Old Heavens by hiding in pockets of Void. That creepy dude I swear gives me sex offender vibes that was hiding in that bell and kidnapped Vilari used the Bell to hide, and that guy is literally one of the single most hated things one can be to the Heavens, a being made up of Dao from a prior Cosmic Order (who also has sex offender vibes. Nothingis worse than that. That dude took our Vilari and enjoyed it plus torturing her, so fuck that creep). Why doesnt Zac use these principles? His mom and her people hide from the Heavens all the time, plus Mox, plus sex offender Bell guy. Cant he just use the Void for his breakthroughs and ascend to the next stage each time where the shitty Heavens cant see him do it at all? I mean Mox was doing some A Grade (literal Grade A, hey...) foul shit... If THAT could be hidden from even the LE and the Heavens, surely a single dude in D Grade could climb to Peak or even to C Grade and not be found...

Dennis Damenis

This is nothing to them. The limitless empire probably has monarchs forming their inner worlds every day. They are preparing to ignite the system. Zack is just a tiny blip, but I bet the Margrave punishes him a bit for what he said in front of Moxx.

Silent Consent

Pretty sure they got buried by the other bloodline respectively, so sadly we probably won't get to see them. Then again it was heavily hinted at that he'd still unlock them, and I think it was said that it's still possible in d grade so idk.

Alexander

For someone who has reread recently I have a question: do we know how many other if any hidden nodes Zac has left for EoZ, technocrats/void heritage (can't remember the name of void bloodline person). I thought he still had some to uncover from a treasure that helped locate them?

Kaladin

I sort of get what you are putting down here, but I got the vibe the mending of the Peak of Chaos was a grand affair that would take hom well into Autarchy and even Supremacy. And I think it will be the Peak he claims, regardless of who currently holds some of the constituent pieces of Dao he is going to need. Like what the Sangha are trying to do with their appropriation over Life and Death and the Peaks they are trying to pull both toward that they control.

Dennis Damenis

So if Zac creates a perfected Chaos core during the LIE trials, which exist in the past....And if they succeed in merging the Past with the Present....does that mean Zac will rebuild the peak of chaos in the past and stabilize it in the present. Giving the peak of chaos stability for millions of years.... Does that make since to anybody else or just me?

Jacob

Thanks for the chapter.

Joshua Little

Now imagine all this with an audience, a frothing mad audience full of cultivators who want Zac dead and an army of Dao Guardians. Just like the Evening Tide Asura’s B grade ascendancy. God I hope Zac’s major stage upgrades are like that.

John

The extra strength tribulation is almost entirely from Zac cultivating void-of-dao. A tiny fraction of the difficulty is due to him cultivating life and death (the peaks they belong to are empty). Being a mortal doesnt have anything to do with tribulation strength, it just means that he had to find alternatives to a cultivation manual for building his foundation /preparing his breakthrough attempt. As Zac noted in this chapter, Sevona's blessing actually helped him out way more than any cultivation manual would have.

Craig

but the ignition was perfect, why would he need to makeup?

James Getgood

Will there be a makeup chapter?

Timothy Dana

Just in case no one caught it…DZac isn’t planning on sticking around the Mercurial Court any longer than it takes to steal Esmerelda’s doodad. That’s the whole reason he spent his very last Potentiality. And, he’ll scrap the Everitt identity. At least, that’s what he expects to do. Someone like Old Sixth may have ideas otherwise. I’m guessing DZaccis vaguely intending to head to the Anima Court next, but I’m not sure that holds up, either. Partly because I just reread the section where Vilari rather strongly asked him NOT to come help, partly because other of his Sealbearers are/were in trouble—and partly because I fully expect one of several Supremacies he’s run into through this arc to pop in and have a word. Even Joanna might pop in, with Indra Eyler in tow. Well, that one would likely be vice versa, but who’s counting? And, of course, Limitless himself might want a word.

Jeff McCulley

What are you predictions on a perfect Peak D Grade core will be? I am thinking he will get a new title in addition to the obvious benefits (gains in attributes, way mire energy, etc.). No way this is a common occurrence, not even for people like Iz Tayn. HER D Grade Peak Core likely isnt even this good. Unless she got her own opportunities here in the LIE that netted her enough on top of what she already has to gain similar. My point is the reason Zac has never even heard of this ever happening before it because its so stupidly rare none of the materials he has read or people he has asked even bother mentioning it because its borderline impossible. I mean a literal god had to be involved for this to happen. And that begs the question: In this story what is a god exactly? Like I once assumed all the stories of gods meant just super advanced and powerful Cultivators, right? Like I can see many considering Supremacies gods. Or even Aurarchs, really. Then I thought okay, maybe Primordials or Innate Existencies and such beings as those like with the Spark of Creation and the Heart of Oblivion? Seems they aren't any if those things though and gods are their own independent actually distinct thing in this story. Like Sevona, apparently.

Dennis Damenis

Pretty sure that this particular bolt isn’t going to teach Zac anything. And…DST just ended, not started. Still as big a miscreation as Mox.

Jeff McCulley

I’m guessing you mean “terrible” in that you really, really want to know what happens next.

Jeff McCulley

Turns out a perfect core with immense foundations and sophisticated support arrays results in a perfect ignition. That's a pretty amazing start for a breakthrough. And the fact that his Duplicity Core is behaving something like a Cultivation Manual suggests it might be able to do the same for the Monarch breakthrough. Just, you know, reprogrammed first so it doesn't do it with the assumption that he's on the road to being a machine god. Next up, stress testing the tribulation arrays and seeing how much of that black lighting will squeak through.

DrSubterfuge

I wonder what kind of achievement you will get for that type of breakthrough.

MacMahon Wenzl

Does he get an extra rough tribulation now because he is a mortal and had a perfect breakthrough... and because, you know, he's Zac and all that.

MacMahon Wenzl

First also has a hairy chest

James Getgood

at times the serial web format is just terrible, i just should have waited for a handful chapters

Indy

The Heavens aren't fooling around, starting with black tribulation lighting instead of the purple or red one. It too realizes daylight saving in the modern age is nonsense and should be scraped and is going to teach Zac that lesson.

Omiso

For those who seem confused. Zac isn't stepping into the C grade. The point of mentioning the weight of an early monarch is how perfect his core has become. Sevonas blessing removed any hint of imperfection from his core and elevated it to an impossible degree. The whole point of the core stages is to create a core strong enough to act as a base for an inner world. Which is why peak hegemons can open a space and take a half step into the c grade. But Zacs core is so perfect its already giving off that weight, the foundation is just that firm. Which would normally be impossible for even heavens chosen of the heartland, but his core was blessed by a literal god.

carson

No, he’s not upgrading to Monarchy. He’s seeing shadows of how that could happen down the line. And that his foundations will be really, really strong for a Peak Hegemon. He’s still doesn’t know how to integrate his two bodies, and has not yet made a blueprint. The only way is if his Duplidity Core has a whole lot more hidden programming than even Zac thinks, and that was likely to mate with a mechanical second body. Which is the whole reason for the Technocrat trip.

Jeff McCulley

Meanwhile, over at the Margrave’s crib: Majordomo: “Sir, we’re getting some exceptionally odd energy readings from one of the platforms.” Margrave Wartorious: “WTF is going on over there?!!”

Jeff McCulley

I’d say Part One of three, with a bonus chappy for summation.

Jeff McCulley

Sure, but that’s hundreds of chapters away.

Jeff McCulley

Wait whaaaaaat? Where do you see that? Please, please tell me your thinking here. I also got that vibe and its been growing tremendously since he started gathering all of those C Grade Treasures way too early. We ALL know Zac doesnt go broke in very hard to get finite resources like he has been lately to get Treasures for a breakthrough beyond the next one. I cant even name one time he has ever done that! In the Orom store, in the Exchange during the Intersector War, in the shops during and after the Integration, during Twilight Harbor... He always put off or avoided getting things he could very badly use because he wanted to wait for ither opportunities along the way or needed ither shit more right now versus going broke for things to help future Zac. Yet he did exactly that this time with those C Grade treasures. With that plus how different this breakthrough is looling to what every source has told us it should look like plus that mention of "hey I can support an early Monarchy inner world right now because that's just how good my foundations turned out!" and his comment basicslly saying yesh he could go ahead and do the Peak D Grade breakthrough plan i came in here with but seeing all of that he is going for the "big win." What does that even mean? Zac you were already breaking through to Peak D Grade and have a perfect core! I am not sure what "big win" there is outside of that but Monarchy! Seriously, this isnt a Dao, Heart, Body, Void, everything else breakthrough... What else could he be aiming for that is beyond "just" Peak D Grade with a flawless core which is what he is already looking at that count as the "big win" that's somehow even beyond that already stupidly perfect goal he had before this new thing? I kept putting the brakes on it saying nah surely TFD isnt possibly going to uograde Zac to C Grade in such an insane crazy way sneaking it in on us and we have no clue until boom it happens! I mean yes that would shock the shit out us every reader he has and yeah none of us would have seen that coming, but as awesome as that is and to the insane degree that would leave us all speechless and guessing, all predictions we thought were solid tossed in the toilet, would even TFD be thst bold???

Dennis Damenis

It sounds like he might accidentally skip to c grade

Frederick

Can someone translate better exactly what it is we are seeing here? I know what Sevona did augmented his cores quality and all that, but this doesn't seem even a little bit like what we were shown a Peak D Grade breakthrough should look like, right? Why is this so different? And lots of new things I cant place how or why they are here at all... Usually via the circumstances of the story between each stage a grade and by following the progression of each previous stage, one gets the symbolism and can follow along with what is going on... This js the first time I have been utterly lost... Why is his core responding this way? Why is the Tribulation suddenly this much worse, even worse than Zac himself says it had a right to be...? Its so bad he wonders if the Heavens havent mistook him from the Empire's own karma for a moment. What all are we looking at here? I know there are a shit load of hints but I am drawing blanks. Is this world-shatteringly good for Zac or is this yet another disaster that even if it works and he survives will have a bunch of consequences so bad it makes you wonder why Zac bothered this way at all? Translations or theories at what this chapter is telling us much appreciated if anyone has any to offer!

Dennis Damenis

It will not take Zach centuries to reach monarchy.

JRR Robbie

Can't wait to see how he reconciles his multiple bodies in the upgrade to C grade!

DuskinReview

Hmmmm. So zac has done the near impossible and had an ignition so perfect, even those like Iz and Kaltosa Lu would be green with envy. This is definitely thanks to his Perfected core. A quality so free of issues, it is truly perfect. And to already be able to bear the weight of an early monarch? Yeah zac is definitely gonna be a monster when he reaches monarchy to which I cant wait. All the resources to gobble up and inner worlds to plunder. Good thing he and the Atwood empire will likely be moving to a new sector as when zac becomes a monarch in a century or two, he'll need a good deal of enemies to chop up and with how well thre Atwood empire did, I wouldn't be surprised if the option to move to a B grade sector popped up. As for the tribulation, what is zac gonna pull put his ass to deal with this? He's gonna have 5 full bolts this time and I imagine the last 3 will be charged with Laws and we all saw how utterly wrecked zac and his core was last time.

Lex Luther S

So, that was an awesome part 1 of 9 Peak Core formation, looking forward to the next eight!

James Getgood

First the worst, second the best (damn), third has a hairy chest (that’s true)
