And I truly hope they make our boy Zac as brutish as they come for the early parts, Because in the early books our boys was all brawn and few brains… Also doing a reread for the entire book, and one thing TFD did so well is how the scale as grown over recent books without making those moments feel overwhelming “for lack of a better word” I pray TFD does this for a long time to come, one of my favorite books and biggest inspiration.

2026-03-01 01:30:36 +0000 UTCSo now that Defiance of the fall is returning, I've a question. Will you be taking a summer break as well? If so will it be the full month or only a week or 2? As for the webcomic, I dont like how zacs hair color has been changed but as long as they keep him good Ole American and a meat head, then I guess it doesn't matter. In fact, as I've been on my re read/listen of the series from book 1 up to the fight between zac and battalion commander Kaldor, I find myself thinking how the chapters would be translated to Manga or comic format. How to bring the outta nowhere info dumps we get to a way its more natural. How the fights would go. The skills would look. Veruns corporal form and weapon form would look like. It's actually been pretty fun theorizing and thinking how it'd look as I read/listened to the series again or on a day at work bored out my mind.

2026-02-28 18:10:21 +0000 UTCHmmmm. My issue about "Sexy Zac" at the start is it will take away from the series. Your connection to the Dao and how attractive you appear are only talked about in the series but I feel with visuals it will make a bigger impact. Zac being a brute at first and later becoming the handsome manwha protag would make a lot more sense. The "hot to ugly to hot" seems a bit off. I waited for the comic release of The Primal Hunter and it went with a pretty similar webcomic style. I think it takes away from the story. It seems less like you are living the story with the individual and instead you are watching it through flashbacks from the "current time." Its a progression fantasy and going from loser human to God like cultivator has more impact when you can feel and see that growth. If everyone is "as pretty" as Iz Tyn then is she really a world defying Heaven Chosen?
