Here are some doodles of some Japanese Akita! This girlie is a character I am trying to develop and taking my time with. I always wanted to make a short comic about all of the six native Japanese spitz breeds (Nihon Ken). Maybe I can make it my goal for 2020. My other comic idea, Deviis and Dog, is a bit ambitious and I figured this Nihon Ken comic would be a good jumping off point. Of course, I will be hiring and paying several Japanese cultural advisors, as well as speaking to Nihon Ken breeders for the breeders I am unfamiliar with (since I have only owned Japanese Akita, Hokkaido Ken, and Kai Ken).
The 3rd and 4th images are Patron exclusive and a look to a second character in the loose comic idea.. a Kai Ken!
