*INT. SMALL APARTMENT - NIGHT*
The room is dimly lit by a single lamp on a cluttered desk. Shadows loom large on the walls. The air is tense, filled with an ominous energy. On the bed sits JASON, mid-30s, sweating and clutching his stomach in pain. He doubles over, clutching his midsection, his breath coming in short, ragged gasps.
“No... not again...” Jason grimaces, gasping.
His hand grips the bedpost tightly. The knuckles turn white, and his nails begin to grow longer and sharper. From behind Jason, we see him staring at a mirror across the room. His reflection shows his eyes turning a feral yellow. Jason collapses to the floor. His body starts to convulse violently.
The clock on the desk ticks loudly. The minute hand strikes midnight. Jason's back arches unnaturally. The sound of bones cracking fills the room.
“Please... stop...” Jason strains.
Sweat pours down his face. His skin ripples as thick fur begins to sprout. Jason looks down at his hands, now transforming into clawed paws. He screams, but it sounds more like a howl. His body grows larger. His clothes rip and tear as muscles bulge. His face elongates into a snout. His pupils dilate into slits. A savage intelligence gleams within them.
Jason, now a fully transformed werewolf, stands on two legs, panting heavily. He lets out a terrifying howl that echoes through the room. The werewolf leaps towards the window. Glass shatters as he crashes through, disappearing into the night.
The curtains flutter in the wind. In the distance, the sounds of the city nightlife continue, oblivious to the monstrous presence now lurking among them.
*EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT*
The werewolf prowls the empty streets, his senses heightened. He sniffs the air, catching the scent of prey. A stray cat darts out from an alleyway. The werewolf’s head snaps towards the movement. Drool drips from his fangs as he growls, a low, menacing sound. He lurches forward, chasing the cat. His movements are swift and predatory. The cat hisses and scrambles up a fire escape, narrowly escaping the werewolf’s claws.
The werewolf stops, scanning the area. His ears twitch as he picks up distant sounds. A homeless man, JIM, shuffles down the street, pushing a shopping cart filled with belongings. He hums a tune, oblivious to the danger. The werewolf's eyes lock onto Jim, filled with predatory intent. From the werewolf’s perspective, Jim appears as a vulnerable target.
Jim senses something, stops humming, and looks around nervously.
“Who's there?” Jim calls out, his voice trembling.
The werewolf’s growl grows louder. Jim’s eyes widen in terror as the werewolf pounces. He screams, raising his arms in a futile attempt to defend himself. The struggle continues in the darkness, then abruptly stops.
*INT. SMALL APARTMENT - DAWN*
The first light of dawn filters through the broken window. The room is silent. Shards of glass litter the floor. Jason lies curled up on the bed, naked and shivering, his body covered in sweat and dirt. His eyes flutter open, filled with confusion and dread. He sits up slowly, wincing at the pain in his muscles. He looks around the room, his gaze landing on the broken window.
“What have I done?” Jason whispers, his voice breaking.
He stands up, shaky and unsteady, and stumbles to the mirror. His reflection shows a man haunted by his own monstrous actions. He runs a hand through his disheveled hair, trying to piece together the fragments of his memory.
A distant siren wails, growing louder. Jason’s eyes widen in fear. He quickly dresses, throwing on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. He grabs a duffel bag from under the bed and starts stuffing it with clothes and essentials.
“I have to leave,” he mutters to himself, panic rising in his chest. “They can’t find out...”
He slings the bag over his shoulder and heads for the door. Before he leaves, he takes one last look at the room, at the life he’s about to abandon. With a deep breath, he steps out into the hallway, closing the door behind him.
*EXT. CITY STREET - DAY*
Jason blends into the crowd, just another face in the bustling city. But he knows he’s not like them. He’s a predator, a beast lurking beneath the surface, waiting to be unleashed.
As he walks, he makes a silent vow. He will find a way to control the monster within, or he will die trying. Because he knows that the next time the full moon rises, the beast will awaken once more. And he fears what it might do.
*FADE OUT.*
*END*
