Until it turns into a crush and their rivalry becomes more about impressing the other one than just being the best.

Maybe one that plots to hunt and capture his Master's enemy or someone that they know is giving their master a hard time. And when they capture them, there is some kitty torture (some smergling, nibbling, and rubbing against areas that know will be pleasure/torture). But the villain cat needs to have a sinister and mischievous one.
