Chapter 05 - Thicker Than Water
Thanksgiving gives opportunity for the pack to return to the Yashin household in Black Diamond, Washington - but not everything is traditional. Family members are absent and Artyom's brother has brought a vampire to dinner. After a hard year such changes can be difficult to cope with, but blood is thicker than water.

Maybe "subtle" wasn't the right word here, but I loved the world building all the same. Perhaps I was more focusing on Vale being able to blend in more readily. After the original Varos episode, I was thinking Varos would need to live in moderate isolation, given their nature. But if they can feed off of other supernatural entities without killing them, or significant injury, there's definitely easy symbiosis now with the rest of the supernatural community.
