It was a short story, it mixed with a french expression « aller au diable vauvert » I don’t remember enough of the story, but le diable vauvert or the vauvert devil if I translate it correctly, is a green demon whose spirit is sealed in a wine cellar and escape when a dude steals a bottle to drink it with his wife. It could be interesting to adapt!

You could always have something to do with foreign team he is using a new drug that is not detected in the test that end ups infecting every one in the Olympic Village. You could have break outs during the events or after they leave so it spread to their home countries.

2024-07-18 17:48:39 +0000 UTCI have a sort of idea for this that I've been sitting on for years. It would function a bit like Quantum Leap but with flavor of the week transformations. It is called ECHO where someone escapes the end of Earth as the sun expands by hopping between dimensions but with no control over how long he is there. The reset element would be jumping dimensions so you can blank slate tf again.

2024-07-18 16:45:17 +0000 UTCYou could write something likes sliders where a group of friends are sliding through realities on their way to get home or to a new home. Along the way you can loose and add member to the group as some may like the world they find themselves in. The cook thing here is they can slide into anything you want even your own fiction. Picture them sliding in to Lykos or Ghost Busters and the characters from those worlds are just background noise a the sliders wait out their time to slide to the next place.

2024-07-18 16:30:42 +0000 UTCWhy not try some mythological creatures that don't get enough attention (Kirin/Quilin, Naga/lamia, Oni/Yokai, Kitsune, Tanuki, ect). Hell, imagine a story in japan with a femboy/trap yuki-onna or a bara Oni or even a yamata-no-orochi hiding his extra heads. So many options outside of the basic ones.
