Added 2022-05-15 01:49:02 +0000 UTC"It'll happen one hour from now, in Sabaody Park near the Ferris wheel, whether your prepared or not," I said, raising the transponder snail to my mouth as I sat on a bench in Sabaody's Park, watching people go about their business.
"Do you even understand what you're saying?" came a questioning, gruff voice from the transponder, snail, prompting me to smirk.
"I understand all too well," I dismissively said, cracking my neck. "Be there or send someone. I don't care. But you'd be missing quite the big news," I added, shrugging my shoulders and hanging up the call.
I was about something undoubtedly stupid and flashy, which would cause a lot of destruction and get me on the world government's shitiest shit list if I wasn't there already. So I might as well make a big scene out of it.
It's been six days since I returned to Sabaody, and I spent that time preparing, especially for today. The first thing I did was buy a Dyna stone containment. I needed it to store half of the Dyan stone in my possession since I cut it in half.
I used my phasing ability to work on the stone inside the containment case to avoid exposing it to air, which would have made it explode, and very carefully cut it into two pieces.
After that, I merged the two containment cases, separated the two Halves of the Dyan stone, returned the cases to normal, and got two Dyna stones, less volatile, to be sure, but more than enough.
I also needed to look for any unusual marines or cipher pole movements to avoid getting a nasty surprise like what happened in Alabasta, and here we are today.
'I should give the crew a heads up... they're probably worried...'
I sighed as I turned to the transponder snail, dialing the number. I haven't contacted my friends for a while now, and they're probably worried now.
Still, I refrained from calling because they'd start asking questions, and I didn't feel like lying to them since telling them what I wanted to do would only make them more worried.
They'd probably try to stop me, and there was no way I'd stop, knowing what I knew.
"Hello? Captain? Is that you?" came Elly's voice from the snail as the call connected, and I smiled. It's been a while since I heard her voice, and she seemed worried as I thought.
"Hey, Elly. It's me," I replied with a smile.
"Are you alright? Where are you right now, captain? What are you trying to do?" Elly let out a torrent of questions that would have kept coming if I didn't cut her off.
"One question at a time," I said with a chuckle. "I'm fine, and I'm currently in Sabaody Archipelago," I added in disarming tone, turning to my surroundings.
"And what are you doing right now? Are you in danger?" Elly asked, sounding like she wanted to let out another torrent of questions, which she held back.
"I'm not in any danger right now. I'm going to be soon, though," I replied, chuckling as I shrugged my shoulders. "Listen, I have a plan, but it might affect you guys even if you're far away," I added, taking a stern tone, and Elly got the hint and waited for me to continue.
"You should have brought Brook to Crocus' place now, right?" I asked, getting to the point as I paused, waiting for an answer, which came as a positive.
"Good, then I want you all to head into Jaya, but don't make any stops unless you have to," I instructed, maintaining my stern tone. "Avoid being seen if possible and hide the hip once you're in Jaya until I get there," I added as I turned to look at the time.
"Understood, but what are you planning to do, captain?" Elly said after a moment of hesitation, sounding even more concerned.
"I'll be fine, I promise," I carelessly replied as I got up. "I have to go. Take care now," I concluded, hanging up the call as I activated my oni ability and undid my disguise.
...
The faint sun rays created a beautiful scene as they shined over the countless soap bubbles flying around Mangrove 30. The weather was good. At least it used to be for the citizens and tourists in the area until Saint Charles showed up with his parade of slav*es and bodyguards.
Everyone immediately kneeled, their eyes glued to the ground as they hoped the celestial dragon would be content with simply passing by without shooting any people this time.
Saint Charlos smiled proudly from the tip of his slav*e/mount, an enormous man who would have stood at least 4 meters had he been able to do so.
Charlos picked his nose in boredom as he looked around the kneeling commoners, hoping to find even the slightest hint of disrespect so he could have an excuse to have some fun at the expense of said commoners.
As a noble, god-like being, a celestial dragon, Charlos didn't need such an excuse. But Charlos' father and sister had constantly been badgering him about his conduct, and so he decided to humor them for the day at least.
"Ei! Why can't you walk faster, you useless piece of garbage," Charlos exclaimed in annoyance as he jabbed a knife into the back of his mount, causing him to wince and immediately collapse in exhaustion.
Charles, of course, followed suit and fell face-first into the ground, eating a handful of dirt, much to everyone's chagrin. They all knew Charlos wouldn't be leaving without killing enough people to mend his bruised ego.
And to make things worse, a childish laugh sounded from within the crowd, only to be muffled immediately.
Charlos' eyes winded as he quickly got to his feet and inspected the area with a face full of rage, eyes full of murder after hearing the childish laugh,
"WHO WAST? WHO DARES LAUGH AT ME!"
Charlos exclaimed, taking out his golden pistol and flailing it around.
No one answered.
"TELL ME WHO LAUGHED, OR I WILL KILL EVERYONE HERE, YOU FILTHY COMMONERS!"
And that was Charlos needed to say before the crowd parted, revealing an average-looking middle-aged man protectively standing in front of a little girl who was likely his daughter.
"My lord, please spear my daughter! She doesn't understand. It's all my fault! Punish me instead!" the middle-aged man begged, but it fell on deaf ears as Charlos slowly began walking towards him with a hideous sneer.
"Please! I'm begging you-" was all the father could say before Charlos shot him in the shoulder.
"Daddy!" the little girl immediately panicked, tears rolling down her cheeks as she threw herself on top of her father as the latter fell to the ground, clutching his now bleeding shoulder.
"You laughed at me, didn't you?" Charlos asked as he stopped in front of the girl and her father, staring them down with utmost disdain and disregard.
"You stay away from my daddy, piggy-face, ugly-face, meanie-face!" the little girl didn't see fit to answer Charlos' question and unleashed a hurl of childish insults instead.
The father and everyone's faces paled as they heard her words and looked at the celestial dragon, visibly shivering in rage.
Charlos didn't say another word and merely raised his gun, pointing at the little girl's head. His finger moved to the trigger. However, he couldn't fire as Johnny appeared behind him.
The man put a hand on Charlos' shoulder and squeezed hard enough that the celestial dragon froze and could not move a single muscle.
"Saint Charlos... just the man I've been looking for..." Johnny said as he stood behind the celestial dragons.
