The merrymakers in the park paused as they turned to me, and everyone's expression turned horrified as they noticed the unconscious celestial dragon I was dragging along like a sack of potatoes.
"That's a celestial dragon! A marine admiral is probably on his way!" one of the bystanders exclaimed in horror, immediately bursting into a sprint as he left the area without bothering to say anything else.
The man's words and actions quickly snapped the crowd from their daze, and screams soon reverberated across the park as everyone began clamoring around, running like headless chickens.
The most entertaining to watch were the people on the Ferris wheel who were too impatient to wait for their carts to reach the ground and started scaling down the giant wheel.
I waited until the area cleared and sat down on a bench, resting my foot on Chrarlos' back, lightly stomping to wake him up as the marine soldiers began flooding the area, surrounding me from a respectful distance.
"YOU COMMONER-" Saint Charlos exclaimed, but I cut him off with another stomp before he could continue. He probably wanted to start ranting about how he was a god and the various ways he'll torture me, but I didn't care for any of that.
"God, you're obnoxious. Just looking at your ugly face makes me want to punch it," I said as I kicked Charlos' side with one foot while keeping him in place with the other pressing on his back.
I smiled as I watched the marines in the distance visibly cringe at my words and actions, feeling the urge to mess with them a little more. I had nothing better to do until an admiral showed up, anyway.
"You see these guys?" I asked as I kicked Charlos' head in the direction of the marine soldiers, who could only helplessly watch from afar and wince at my actions. "I wouldn't be able to do any of this if they were competent," I said, pointing in the marine soldiers' direction and smiling as their eyes widened in shock, realizing where I was going with my words.
"If you get out of this alive, you should totally punish them..." I remarked, stomping on the celestial dragon's ankle and breaking it. I chuckled as I heard him squeal like a pig and turn to the marines with a glare that spoke of bloody murder.
The marine soldiers were only doing their jobs, and I had no real grudge against them. I was only doing this to pass the time and show them what kind of shitbag they were working for since I had no intention of letting Charlos live through the day.
"Did you see that, rehehahaha? Just like you guys are now as guilty as I am," I mockingly exclaimed, raising my head and laughing loudly as the marines began uncomfortably shifting in their positions.
...
"You seem to be rarely wide awake today, admiral," vice admiral Momonga said as he stood beside admiral Aokiji on the bow of the marine battleship as they neared the archipelago's shore.
"Arara, even I wouldn't feel sleepy if you suddenly wake me up with such news, Momonga," Aokiji replied somewhat impatiently. His eyes focused on the shore.
"I'll go ahead. You guys hurry up too," Aokiji said as he jumped into the water, causing it to freeze as he began sprinting towards the shore in a hurry.
"Even if you say that, we can't really hurry up with your ice blocking the way..." Momonga muttered, his eyes twitching in annoyance as he unsheathed his sword and began destroying the ice after the admiral was far away.
...
Aokiji kept a neutral expression as he finally reached the Ferris wheel and slowed down. He slowly walked through the line of marines as the crowd split apart to let him through.
Aokiji frowned as he finally got a look at the pirate, who was foolish enough to hold a celestial dragon as a hostage, his eyes widening as the latter immediately stood up from the bench, grinning and pointing a gun at Saint Charlos' head.
"Hurry up and save me, you incompetent fool!" the celestial dragon exclaimed, snot and tears running down his nose after more than an hour of abuse at the pirate's hand.
Aokijid didn't need to be told twice.
"ICE AGE!" Aokiji exclaimed, unleashing his ability to its full potential to stop the pirate even if it meant he'd freeze his fellow marines and the celestial dragon himself.
Aokiji sighed in relief at the sight of the frozen pirate, only to wince as he turned to the celestial dragon, who was in a similar state. The admiral did not think the pirate wanted to execute Saint Charlos because why would he bother to take him as a hostage if that was the case?
The admiral thought he would get a chance to negotiate and analyze the situation before having to make a move, but the pirate's action surprised him and forced his hand.
Aokiji's surprise didn't end there as the pirate eye moved, and he even grinned as the ice shattered, freeing him in the process. And before Aokiji could do anything, the pirate leveled his gun at Charlos' head and fired, turning the latter's head into a bloody mess on the floor.
"Do you have any idea what you've done...?" Aokiji asked, his expression twisted into a mixture of shock and apprehension. He didn't care about the celestial dragons, but the mere idea of killing one was unspeakable and unheard of to the entire world.
"You have eyes, do you not, admiral Aokiji?" the pirate replied with a smile as he kept shooting, turning the celestial dragon's carcass into a bloody mess, a mere red stain on the ground with exploding bullets.
"Now, how about we skip the chitchat and get to the action already?" the pirate remarked, grinning savagely as he slowly transformed into a red, humanoid demonic creature with protruding tusks and two red horns sticking out of his forehead.
The pirate didn't seem to be in the mood to mince words as he drew his golden sword and began firing at the admiral. Aokiji immediately noticed the haki coating the bullets and turned himself into ice beforehand, allowing the projectiles to pass right through him, doing no damage.
"Ice Saber..." Aokiji remarked, sighing as he created an ice sword and met the pirate halfway as the latter charged him, sword in hand and an excited grin splitting his demonic face.
