L.O.J.S.H 240

He couldn't believe his eyes.

He was there to see it, but Big News Morgans could not believe his eyes. It was the scope of the century, but his brain still couldn't process it. It refused to comprehend it.

A big chunk of the off Sabaody Park wiped, along with its legendary attraction, the Ferris wheel.

An infamous rookie pirate and the perpetrator of the incident presumed dead.

An admiral of the world government severely injured.

And most importantly of all, a celestial dragon, dead. Tortured, humiliated, and publicly executed.

He didn't believe it when the young pirate contacted him and told him he'd kill a celestial dragon in public for all to see, and he still couldn't believe it after witnessing the incident with his own eyes.

"It's fucking Big News!" Morgans exclaimed, anxiously pacing around the crater left in the wake of the Dyan stone, only one question plaguing his mind; would he, Big News Morgans, dare to announce such big news to the world?

He could easily see himself being hunted to the ends of the earth if he announced how a celestial dragon had died like some commoner, killed off by a pirate, an enemy of the world government of all things.

The celestial dragons ruled this world with an iron fist simply because no one dared to challenge them. The mere idea of rising against their tyranny was unspeakable to the average man and even the most vicious of outlaws and pirates.

But what if someone not only stood up to one of the most obnoxious and hated celestial dragons but even publicly humiliated and executed them?

That was the million berry question Morgans asked himself. Dragon's revolutionaries were already gaining momentum all, riling people against the world nobles, and now they even had something of a martyr as an example for others to follow.

Morgan knew they would use such news to their advantage and rally even more people to their cause, not to mention everyone the celestial dragons had cornered into a dead end.

Would such people obediently accept their fates of demise and slavery, or will they follow the young pirate's example and choose to perish with their oppressors?

Morgan didn't know the answer to these questions, but he knew the world government would be coming for his blood if he tried to find out.

"Then let them come. I wouldn't be Morgans if I didn't report such Big News, Kuwahahaha!"

Several days later

Ballywood Kingdom

"Big brother, it's bad news! Look at this!" the elderly shopkeeper that Johnny had saved from the gangsters came sprinting towards his big brother, Old Jim, the shipwright who built the Black Pearl.

"What is it, you fool? Can't you see I'm trying to relax here," Old Jim remarked, taking the pipe out of his mouth and smacking his younger brother's head with it as the latter bent down and heaved for breath before him.

"Look at this!" the elderly shopkeeper said, gesturing at the newspaper in his hand as he gave it to his elder brother. Old Jim took the newspaper to inspect it, raising an eyebrow and chuckling as he read the front-page article.

"It isn't a laughing matter, big brother!" the elderly shopkeeper indignantly exclaimed, giving his elder brother an angry look. "It says the kid is dead!" he harshly added, snatching the newspaper and pointing at the article.

"Stop shouting, you imbecile," Old Jim said, smacking his younger brother's head with the pipe again. "The boy is fine," he added, snorting in disdain at the confused look on his younger brother's face.

"I don't know what happened at the Archipelago, but if the kid is really dead, my Black Pearl and its crew would have perished with him," Old Jim matter-of-factly added, shrugging his shoulders.

"That's the kind of ship I built and the kind of people boarding it," Old Jim concluded, unphased by the skeptical look on his younger brother's face.

"Now go somewhere else, and let an old man have his rest, will you, brat?"

On a resort island

Hena frowned as she read through the day's newspaper, expertly hiding her concern under Ensign Obrien's intent gaze.

"This is bad..." she muttered, raising her head and looking at her right-hand man and most loyal subordinate. "Hina needs to go back to the marine HQ immediately," she added, gesturing to the side.

"Inform the navigator to set a course for Marine Ford now," she instructed, dismissing the ensign, who hesitated before saluting and hurriedly leaving after getting an impatient glare from his captain.

'A celestial dragon... dead... just what the hell were you thinking?' Hina thought as she watched the ensign leave, her expression a mixture of concern and grief.

'Are you really dead...?' she mused with a bitter expression, her hand unconsciously moving to caress her abdomen.

Rains Dinners

"Eh-eh-eh-eh...." Crocodile couldn't help but laugh as he read the newspaper while sitting in his luxurious office inside the Rains Dinners casino, completely ignoring Robin's existence.

"Not a bad way to go, brat..." he added, grinning as the newspaper turned to fine sand in his hand. "It's a shame I couldn't kill you myself..." he concluded and resumed laughing.

However, the bulging vein protruding on his forehead didn't escape Robin's notice.

'This is going to be troublesome...' Robin mused, immediately exiting the office.

Somewhere in the new world

Inside a pirate ship

"Kishsishishi!" Moria couldn't help but loudly laugh as he read through the newspaper. "So much for you brat, Kishisihsihsishi!" he maniacally exclaimed, his laugh turning demented.

"Set a course for the Archipelago! I'll resurrect the brat and kill him myself!"

The Twin Capes

"Thank you, old friend... I owe you one," Crocus smiled as he spoke into the transponder snail while leaning into his garden chair, watching Laboon gently say as Brook played the island's whale's favorite song.

"I know you're retired, and this could cause problems for you..." he added, sighing and trailing at the end of his sentence.

"What? Don't mention it, old friend. The boy seems interesting, and I might have acted even if you didn't ask me," came the reply from the transponder snail in a cheerful voice, accompanied by a slight chuckle.

"The boy did something I've wanted to do for a while, but I refrained for obvious reasons," the man on the end of the call added, sounding even more cheerful.

"Providing some help is the least a washed-up, old gambling addict like me could do, don't you think...?"
