One Piece: Killer Method #207

As Kieran led the way toward Enel's villa, trailed by Gan Fall, Wyper, and the remaining Shandian warriors who had just dispatched the last of Enel's followers and priests, Kieran found himself involuntarily freezing in his tracks.

Before him stood Cedric, his colossal heavenly ape form bellowing a savage roar, poised in front of what appeared to be a deity harnessed in lightning. Both of these immense beings were on the brink of engaging in a battle to the death.

"Is... is that your captain?" Gan Fall inquired, his steps grinding to a halt as he gazed upon the awe-inspiring spectacle.

"The one and only," Kieran responded, his lips curving into a faint smile as he observed Cedric's flaming fist hurtling toward Enel's lightning-shrouded Amaru.

"How fearsome..." Gan Fall murmured, at a loss for words to adequately describe the breathtaking scene unfolding before his eyes.

Wyper himself stood rooted in awe, his eyes wide as saucers, scarcely able to believe the spectacle that unfolded before him. Two titans clashed with such ferocity that it sent arcs of electricity and waves of searing flames hurtling in all directions.

The sheer magnitude of their power was staggering.

Not long ago, Wyper had been the one to challenge Cedric, skeptical of the stranger's capabilities and unwilling to entrust the fate of his people to an outsider from the Blue Sea below the clouds. Cedric had swiftly subdued him during their initial encounter, but Wyper's skepticism had persisted.

However, as he now witnessed this fearsome spectacle, all lingering doubts evaporated from his mind.

In that moment, he comprehended the true extent of Cedric's might and the formidable threat posed by Enel, the enemy of his people. Before the combined forces of these two behemoths, Wyper realized that he wouldn't even serve as a distraction.

"Should we lend a hand...?" Gan Fall questioned, his gaze darting back and forth between the tumultuous battle of elements and the seemingly unconcerned figure of Kieran.

Kieran responded with a casual shrug. "If you're eager to meet your end, then by all means, go ahead," he retorted, shaking his head in mild exasperation.

Gan Fall's expression remained uncertain. "Perhaps we can at least provide some distractions if nothing else," he suggested, his frown indicating his reluctance to stand idly by.

Kieran couldn't help but let out a low, humor-filled chuckle at those words. "You've got it all wrong, old man. Look at the smile on his face..." he remarked, gesturing toward Cedric, who wore a savage grin as he battled Enel.

"When he gets like that, the captain stops holding back," Kieran went on, his tone tinged with a mixture of amusement and warning. "It's more likely that you'll die at his hands rather than Enel's," he concluded.

...

I couldn't help but feel a grin stretch across my face as I brandished the trident, a magnificent gift from King Neptune of the Ryugu Kingdom, which had expanded in size to match my own.

It had been what felt like an eternity since I had faced someone even remotely capable of pushing me to my limits since I left the Marines.

You could argue that Enel was weaker than the likes of Rob Lucci and Crocodile in many aspects. He had only his Observation Haki and the powers of the Lightning Devil Fruit at his disposal.

Yet, that seemingly simple combination was a deadly force to reckon with in its own right.

At the end of the day, none of it really mattered. What mattered was that I had a good fight on my hands, and that was all that counted. With flames enveloping the trident, I brought it crashing down upon the head of the lightning deity. Enel reacted swiftly by raising the hands of the Amaru avatar to intercept the attack.

My strike cleaved through the arms of the electrical manifestation, and its momentum carried it relentlessly downward, aimed straight at Enel himself.

The searing surge of electricity coursed through the trident and into my body, but I didn't so much as flinch. In my current form, expanded to such titanic proportions, the effect of the electricity was greatly diminished, and I didn't need to be in the air to engage Enel.

As long as I remained grounded, I could channel the electric energy into the earth, effectively negating most of its damaging potential.

Realizing that the electric shock wouldn't suffice to halt my assault in my present gigantic form, Enel acted with alacrity, transforming into an electric arc that disappeared in a flash alongside the Amaru avatar.

My Observation Haki surged, providing me with instant insight into his next appearance. I readied myself to pounce on him and execute a preemptive strike, but then I abruptly halted as an unusual sensation coursed through my consciousness.

It was as if a dam within my mind had burst, releasing a torrent of information that flooded my senses. My gaze fell upon the trident, and an intuitive understanding washed over me. I knew precisely what needed to be done.

Instead of lunging toward Enel, I held my ground, pointing the trident directly at the spot where Enel would materialize.

In response to my unspoken command, the trident underwent a startling transformation. Its shaft elongated at a blinding pace, sending the weapon's sharp tips soaring straight toward Enel's lightning-shrouded Amaru as he finally materialized some distance away.

Even from my vantage point, I could discern the twisted expression on Enel's face as shock and horror overtook him upon the sight of the incoming attack.

But it was too late for him to evade this time, a realization that seemed to dawn upon him as he pointed a desperate fist toward the rapidly approaching trident.

"200,000,000 Volts-- Bird!" he exclaimed, unleashing a colossal avian creation of pure electricity aimed directly at the tip of my trident, which was hurtling toward him. The elemental bird emitted a piercing screech as it soared through the air, on a collision course with my weapon.

In response, I cloaked the tip of the trident in roaring flames, and, for sheer dramatic effect, I willed the flames to take on the form of a majestic dragon's head.

Flames and lightning met with an explosive impact that shook the very ground beneath us, sending shockwaves rippling through the surrounding area.

The advance of the fiery dragon momentarily halted, but only for a fraction of a second before it surged forth with renewed ferocity, overwhelming Enel's attack and closing in on the self-proclaimed deity himself.

Recognizing the inevitability of his defeat, Enel could do naught but clench his teeth in a futile act of defiance. "YOU FILTHY HUMAN!" he bellowed as the trident pierced the lightning Amaru, engulfing Enel and the ethereal creation with searing flames.

As I watched the dissipating form of the lightning Amaru and witnessed Enel's scorched and smoldering body tumble to the ground, I couldn't help but break into a triumphant smile, my massive form reverting to its human state.

My gaze then fell upon the Trident, and a realization dawned that I could still wield its power in another way. Without hesitation, I projected my will into the weapon, and it obediently responded, shrinking down to the size of a hairpin.

"Now that's handy..." I mumbled with a chuckle, tucking the miniature Trident behind my ear before proceeding toward the fallen Enel. The journey was swift, and soon, I stood over the singed and disgraced self-proclaimed god.

"This is giving me a sense of déjà vu," I remarked, looking down at Enel. It seemed that many of my confrontations followed this familiar pattern—my adversary lying defeated beneath me.

However, this time bore a subtle difference. Enel offered no retort, just a seething glare brimming with hatred, resentment, and pure anger. It was a look that would have given anyone pause, were it not for the fact that looks alone couldn't kill.

"Usually, this is the part where I say something cool and let you be, to jumpstart your heart and escape," I continued, suppressing a chuckle as Enel's eyes widened, no doubt stunned that I knew about his concealed ability.

"But I'm afraid I can't do that this time around—your Devil Fruit is too tempting..." I added, shaking my head with a sigh as I moved closer to Enel. "Not to worry though, I'll make it quick and painless..." I concluded as I kneeled beside him, moving my finger to his neck.
