As Cedric lowered his hand, releasing the miniature sun hurtling toward him, the self-proclaimed god of Skypiea reacted swiftly.
Enel disappeared from his previous location, his form dissolving into a crackling blur of electricity. In an instant, he reappeared high in the air, his body spinning as he brandished his golden staff with grace and authority.
"El Thor!" Enel's voice echoed through the heavens as he pointed his staff directly at the incoming projectile. A surge of immense power coursed through him, and he unleashed a concentrated beam of pure electricity.
It surged forward with lethal intent, crackling and surging as it sliced through the air, racing toward the approaching flaming sphere.
The two formidable forces of nature harnessed through devil fruit abilities, collided in a dazzling display of elemental might. They met halfway, and the impact was cataclysmic.
A colossal explosion erupted, a blinding burst of light and a deafening cacophony of sound. Shockwaves radiated outward, sending tremors and vibrations rippling through the very atmosphere.
Lightning lashed out in every direction, intertwining with blazing embers that painted the sky.
Amidst the chaos, Enel remained suspended in the air, his form engulfed in the crackling, electric aura that surrounded him. His grin persisted as if he found exhilaration in the clash of powers.
"And here I thought you'd be dead after our first encounter," Enel remarked, his voice filled with a mix of amusement and arrogance. Electricity crackled beneath his feet, keeping him aloft in defiance of gravity.
"Surprised?" Cedric responded, his voice carrying a hint of mockery. "Of course, you're not, but you're about to be..." He added, and with a casual flick of his wrist, he summoned a cloud of flames to envelop his hand.
A golden trident appeared in his hand as the cloud promptly dissipated.
Enel couldn't help but be intrigued by Cedric's seemingly magical display. The flames that danced around Cedric's body held a unique quality, one that didn't align with typical Logia abilities.
"That power of yours... it doesn't appear to be a Logia..." Enel observed, his eyes fixated on the mesmerizing flames enveloping Cedric. His gaze carried a sense of appraisal, as though he were analyzing a puzzle.
Cedric responded with a grin, a knowing glint in his eye. "Zoan, actually," he disclosed, his body undergoing a rapid transformation into his heavenly ape hybrid form. The flames and the ape form combined created an imposing and awe-inspiring sight.
Enel's confidence seemed to be bolstered at this revelation, a flicker of arrogance crossing his face. "Then this will only be a waste of time..." he declared, his tone carrying a note of disdain.
"Prepare to meet judgment!" Enel proclaimed, vanishing from his position and reappearing right in front of Cedric with breathtaking speed. In an instant, he pointed an open palm at Cedric and unleashed a torrent of electrical arcs, striking with deadly precision from nearly point-blank range.
However, much to Enel's astonishment, Cedric's reflexes were swifter than lightning itself. Before Enel could fully process what had occurred, he felt a tremendous impact on his back. The force of the blow sent him hurtling toward the ground, where he collided face-first with the earth.
For a brief moment, Enel lay there in stunned silence, unable to grasp the sudden reversal of fortune. He slowly pushed himself up from the dirt, his bewildered expression a testament to his shock.
"You... how did you...?" Enel stammered, his tone a mix of horror and disbelief.
"Not so untouchable now, are you?" Cedric taunted, pointing the butt of his trident at the disoriented Enel. He chuckled softly, relishing the moment. "I could have killed you then and there, but that would be too easy..." he added, his words dripping with amusement.
Enel's initial shock had now transformed into a seething rage. His expression contorted with fury as he proclaimed, "You... you dare mock me?!" Electricity surged around his body, emphasizing his godlike presence.
"I am a god! I will not be humiliated by a mere mortal!" he declared, his voice echoing with divine wrath as he ascended into the sky.
As Enel underwent his electrifying transformation, Cedric couldn't resist a chuckle. He watched with a sense of both anticipation and amusement as lightning coalesced around the self-proclaimed god's body, the very air crackling with energy.
Enel's form shifted, his body morphing into that of a giant, potbellied figure reminiscent of the Raijin, the legendary deity of thunder and lightning.
"200,000,000 Volt Amaru!" Enel declared triumphantly as he completed his transformation, assuming a dramatic pose with his hands primed for a devastating attack—one clenched into a fist, the other outstretched like an open palm.
The sheer magnitude of his presence sent shockwaves through the air.
Cedric, however, seemed undaunted by the colossal, lightning-wreathed figure that now confronted him. He let out a low whistle, his eyes fixed on the awe-inspiring sight before him.
"Now we're talking," he remarked with a sense of exhilaration.
Without hesitation, Cedric employed both Geppo and Soru techniques to rapidly close the distance between himself and Enel. Arcs of electricity, like winged serpents, lashed out from the transformed deity, zipping through the sky with the intent to strike down the audacious intruder.
In response, Cedric harnessed his fiery powers to bolster his already remarkable speed. He became an enigmatic blur in the sky, appearing and disappearing with seamless grace.
Flames and electricity intertwined, casting vibrant streaks of red and blue across the heavens as the two elemental forces clashed in a mesmerizing dance.
Cedric's approach was relentless, his target now within sight as he penetrated the colossal lightning figure and drew closer to Enel's original form, nestled deep within. He could see the self-proclaimed god, and his resolve burned hotter than the flames that enveloped him.
"There you are," Cedric declared with a fiery determination. His entire body blazed with flames as he propelled himself towards Enel at an incredible speed.
The tips of his trident were aimed unerringly at the heart of the self-proclaimed deity, transforming him into a flaming projectile.
As he pierced through the deity's electrical form, the intense pain of the surging electricity coursed through Cedric's body. It was agonizing, but he gritted his teeth and pressed on, sheer determination and perseverance driving him forward.
Enel, now caught in a moment of panic, lashed out with a shout of frustration.
"Bastard! Die already!" he roared, his hand pointed directly at Cedric. Concentrated arcs of electricity erupted from his palm, forming a deadly barrage that crackled and seared within the confines of the deity's lightning body.
Cedric endured the torment, refusing to yield. He continued to push through the pain, his body accumulating burns and his weapon drawing ever closer to Enel with each passing fraction of a second.
Cedric's trident was mere inches away from piercing Enel's chest when, abruptly, he reached his limits. His momentum dissipated, and he was forcefully ejected from the deity's colossal form. With a resounding thud, Cedric landed on his back on the ground, electricity crackling around his body, and thin tendrils of smoke curling from his singed skin.
Despite the intensity of his ordeal, Cedric couldn't help but chuckle as he swiftly scrambled to his feet. He discharged the residual electricity from his body into the ground, the energy dissipating harmlessly. His remarkable healing factor immediately kicked into gear, working diligently to repair the damage and mend his injuries.
"That Devil Fruit power of yours really is something else," Cedric remarked with a wry smile as he observed Enel. His tone was remarkably composed, devoid of any frustration despite his recent setback.
"Even with Armament Haki and my thick skin, I could only endure 200,000,000 Volts of electricity for so long, especially with nowhere to discharge it," Cedric explained, his voice laced with a note of admiration.
Enel's expression was smug, his arrogance palpable as he regained his composure in the wake of their recent clash. "It's only natural that a god cannot be defeated by a mere mortal," he declared, his tone dripping with self-assuredness.
"But it's too late for you to realize that at this point... there will be no place for you to run from my wrath," he warned, his voice carrying an ominous undercurrent.'
Cedric's grin only deepened at Enel's words, his amusement evident. He shook his head slowly. "Run? Me? No. You've got it all wrong," he responded, his voice carrying a note of playful mockery.
"It's you who ought to run, because right now, I really want that Devil Fruit of yours," Cedric announced, a sense of resolve brimming within him as he prepared to transform into his full heavenly ape form.
