Another thing, one of the big aspects about Renly getting Storms End and Stannis getting Dragonstone, is that Renly (the charming fun brother) grew up with the Stormlanders being close with him, while Stannis (man of iron) was thrown on an island with not a lot around him, including land and men.

2024-05-02 01:43:31 +0000 UTCNo Spoilers: Re-watching S2 and had to mention this, the guy you called Baelor, his name is Jorin (or Yorin maybe, soft J) - Ned said Baelor because Arya was standing under the statue of Baelor and he was telling Yorin to look at thee statue, and see Arya. Ned was actually executed on the steps of Baelor's Sept - a practically holy building in the eyes of those who worship the Seven (ie most people in the South).
