What happens is katniss uses one of her last arrows to tourniquet peetas leg. The injury is much worse in the book. After hours of hearing cato be torn at she removes the arrow from peetas leg and puts him out of her misery. As a result peetas leg is amputated from the blood loss. Katniss also blows out her eardrums during her cornucopia stunt. They are the victors, but did they really win?

2025-06-14 13:34:28 +0000 UTCSo in the books Peeta is definitely in love with Katniss, but she's being strategic and playing it up for the viewers. BUT that doesn't mean she doesn't see Peeta and how good a person he is.

2025-06-14 13:21:01 +0000 UTCKatniss didn't shoot Cato in the head or whatever because he was on the edge and if she shot him with his arms around Peeta he would fall and drag Peeta over the edge with him. Cato knows this and taunts Katniss in the scene so Peeta points to his hand so when he gets shot he releses him in pain

2025-06-14 08:22:47 +0000 UTCFox face sounding like the new Roz 😂 Thresh knew what Katniss did for Rue because of knife girl taunting Katniss about trying and failing to save Rue’s life. And who knows maybe he came across the flower grave and then knew it was Katniss. Just have been a while since I saw this movie I would have sworn he wasn’t eaten by one of the wolves. Thought he went out weakening Cato or something.
