To clear up the confusion about the ending, about how u felt it was a bit of a jump - for context, in the book, it follows Snow's inner thoughts all throughout the story; and in that where they reach the cabin, Snow was super paranoid about everything they were doing, so they took Lucy's words in every worst way. And when he reached down and the snake bit him, he had become fully mad and delirious and assumed Lucy was trying to kill him, so he of course killed her. BUT, it was implied in the writing that the snake being there was just pure coincidence, from harmless nature. (And it's sorta symbolic with how Lucy associates with them, biting them back - much like how you picked up on).
It follows the theme throughout the book of the fearmongering that everyone in the districts are out to get them (and each other), like savages, and he ends up buying into it of course. The book breaks it down and follows you through every thought process and action they take and why they do it. The entire film was perfect, except for that scene where it may have gone a bit too fast and not well explained/adapted. So much so that many ppl ended up being confused or just calling it badly written unfortunately.

A tier list of shows and movies could be cool - dividing into seasons might be a bit too much work haha
Hobbit over LotR?? Yeah, that's a spicy take haha
