Concerning Content Warnings

Hey everyone! 

Probably by now you've seen some people on Twitter talking about Paypal's TOS changes, in particular in their ability to scan literally any website that your paypal email is attached to and detect whether you're associating paypal with anything against their TOS. This is scary news for everyone and, in my opinion, a breach of privacy, but here we are. 

Patreon is tied directly to my Paypal email and while Patreon allows nsfw content (to an extent), Paypal does NOT. This makes certain keywords dangerous for me to use in the event that Paypal does carry out this threat. It's currently the source of literally all my income so I can't afford to play with fire here. 

What does this mean for y'all?

First off, I'm no longer going to use the [nsfw] tag on my posts. From here on out assume that everything I post could potentially be nsfw. I'll also be using a preview image on image posts that is SFW. That means when you open your email you'll get a sfw image as the preview and will have to click through to Patreon to see the rest. This is something I wanted to get into the habit of doing anyway, but this makes it more of a necessity. Also, some language on Patreon proper posts will need to be filtered. I'll do the best that I can but basically imagine the taglines and titles of your favorite adult content site annnnd you've got a list of words that I probably shouldn't use. 

Discord will still be 100% free range as far as I know! 

I hate this policing shit. I know there are a few alternatives to Paypal but it still remains the most accessible option for most digital artists. So far I've not had any serious trouble but I'd like to keep it this way.

Please note: this is largely why I use invoices for commissions. If you ever send a tip or anything through Ko-Fi or paypal.me or anything like that, please don't include any incriminating keywords or usernames. Maybe one day ns fw artists won't need to cover their asses so much but for now it be what it be.
