Any Plans This Holiday Weekend?

If you are one of the many Adorkable Patron Pals in North America, you know it's Labor Day!  The last hurrah of summer, the last big three day weekend for vacations!  So the question is simple, have you/are you doing anything fun for your Labor Day weekend?  And even if were you are doesn't celebrate the joys of labor, lol, did you do anything fun this weekend?

Any Plans This Holiday Weekend?

I worked the long weekend doing a store computer system install. I hate networking.

The Fish

The more you know, right? Lol! It's really nice when you jerry rig something and hope it works, get creative, etc, and it comes together nicely. Even if you have to work at it a long time. When it finally works, it's a great feeling. Nice job.

They're from a 2002. Basically every Subaru from 89-05ish used the same front seat rails, then all 05+ models changed to another style, still interchangeable with all 05+. The rears were a bit trickier, I had to grind out the rivets in the hinges from both cars then bolt them back together with Legacy hinge on the bottom and WRX hinge on top. The latches for the tops had to be swapped side to side then turned upside down, and somehow that just works.

Very nice! It's amazing when parts from one vehicle can fit another. I am curious, what MY WRX seats did you find and put in? I didn't ever think of them fitting in a Legacy sense they were two different class of vehicle. The JDM bits do look real nice, I especially like those headlights and the lower fascia.

Thanks! And yeah I kept everything on the outside of the car OE stuff, so none of it looks tacky/etc. The wheels and brakes are from a newer Legacy, and the front clip is JDM (lights, grille, and bumper). Funny enough a Honda Pilot rear wiper arm bolts straight up and makes it look a good chunk newer, much better than the original metal ones that always lose their paint and turn rusty. I've got some blue and black WRX seats on the inside as well, they really transformed how comfortable it is to drive.

The group playing the escape room directs an employee who is onsite to act as our hands/mobile webcam mount. In this case, the premise was we were trying to stop a serial killer, but due to the urgency of the situation we had to send in somebody who was close but not particularly bright and so they needed the rest of us to provide direction and intel. The design for a good remote escape room is somewhat different from the design for a good in-person escape room, so not every escape room company that's trying to adapt to the current state of the world is doing a good job of it, but Omescape got closer to the feel of an in-person escape room by having a website where pictures of rooms and important clues are uploaded as we find them, allowing different people to look at different things without needing to fight over where our on-site agent is looking. It even allows each participant to see the mouse pointers of the other members of the group while looking at the same clue, which would have allowed us to gesture at particular features of clues if we had wanted to do that (although in practice we just used words).

That sounds interesting. I have never done one myself, but I have heard people who are really into them. How do you do an escape room over Zoom though?

I just finished doing an escape room over Zoom with my family. We had a lot of fun; Omescape makes good escape rooms.

It’s the new Avengers game that came out Friday. As for what I’m writing, my OC pony story or my MLPxDigimon Tamers crossover

AutoKnight01 (Princess Deadpool)

Nice! Nice looking Legacy wagon. I like the modifications because they aren't gaudy and actually flow nicely with the car. Also quite roomy.

Sounds like a peaceful day. Any particular game you are playing now you want to shout out? What about that writing? What do you like to write about? :)

Why not now? And yeah I've had this thing for nearly 8 years, lotsa time to work on it. 23 year old cars with 213k miles need work. https://imgur.com/a/NnUtnrl

None thus far. Pretty much my day looks like it’s gonna be filled with nothing but video games and MAYBE some time for writing

Very nice! :D Maybe we'll see some pics of this car someday in the future, lol. Sounds like you have put a heck of a lot of effort into it.

My weekend is Thursday/Friday, I'm gonna do a lot of work to my car. STi steering rack with poly bushings, geometry correcting tie rods and ball joints, 4 tires, camber bolts, exhaust reseal, and an alignment. Maybe the idle air control valve and new AC compressor if I have time.
