It has been nearly four years since Twi and Greg have met (at least in real time). So we wanted to make their meet up good. We've built up to it. If there was a long-going arc or peak for this series, this would be one of them. Maybe for closure for Greg and Twilight, and maybe a life lesson about love for Twilight. Expect Twilight and Greg to continue to meet while Coco and Greg are in Ponyville with Rarity.
