Random Facts About AT&F

These are just some random things that maybe don't deserve a whole blog post, but here they are together in no particular order.

All comics have used the same base background with the same title and numbers per panel since 2015.  Sometimes they are slightly edited to fit things better.  We have six different panel templates we use.  The most used templates are called "ATwi6 Special" and "ATwi 4."  The 6 at the end of the name means for six panels and the 4 means four panels.  There is also a "ATwi6" template that is from early on, but the "ATwi6Special" is newer because it better utilizes space for drawings and words.

The pen size used for the drawings at size 15px for 6 panel comics and 20px for 4 panel comics.

Rough drafts are usually drawn in red, pink, or lime green.  They are the easiest colors to show every detail.  We then draw the finalized version in each characters traditional color.

A comic can vary between 3 layers all the way to over 30 layers.  

Inside our main AT&F folder with all our comics and files, we have over 2,800 files.  They take up over 17 GB of space.

How we choose a color to represent a character is usually the defining color of a character.  Sometimes it can be hard to choose.  Some characters we use the base mane color for a character, while others we use the body color or body color outline.  All colors are directly from official MLP content, except characters that had to have color changes.

Characters who have had officially color changes are, Rarity, Soarin', Fluttershy, Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Starlight Glimmer.

Ponies, Griffons, and Dragons have all been shown as sentient creatures in AT&F.  In non-canon material there were also buffalo.  Animals mentioned to be sentient in canon are Kirin and Elk/Deer.  There of course have been many other types of animals shown such as fish, birds, foxes, and others, but they have no lines and don't live in a society such as ponies do.
