Your Thoughts On MLP:FiM

Well, it's done.  MLP:FiM has been in our lives for nearly a decade.  What did you think of the series finale and how has the series has a whole changed your life?  Did you find it a fitting end?

The post before this I shared with how this series changed my life personally a bit.  I will happily share more with you all below.

You can post spoilers below.  So let that be a warning for people who don't want to see spoilers.

Your Thoughts On MLP:FiM

I'm still so well behind on the show, I haven't watched the finale, and am probably not going to get to it for at least another year. Mainly because I still want to play catch up on the reviews I was writing at one stage. I'm still on Season 5.

I read every single thing. I loved all the things you pointed out. You bring up many good points and several things I didn't notice and want to rewatch and find! Terrific write up! A+!

Thank you! Going to read it now.

Ooh, if willing I would love to read your detailed blog post. :)

I could say a lot about the finale (and I'm still working on doing just that in a blog post on Fimfic per my normal habits) . . . but in short I think it was a satisfying end, and while I'm sad to see the show end I'm happy to see it end well.

That is so great to read all that. I really loved the episodes too and it ended on such a high note. It makes me wish they could continue... but it's better to end positively then to keep going into obscurity. I guess that is what the fandom is for, to fill in the content. The very last episode, while I loved it, it also made me sad to see them all grown up. But it was a mix of sadness, happiness, and feeling complete in some way. I don't really know how to explain it. I have been an EQD checker myself but I wasn't aware they were going to do a weekly stream. I was wondering what they would do without the series around. I hope the community stays involved and doesn't fade away. I also hope, that if this G5 is real, that it is done with care by the new studio (who has done some really good shows in the past). I hope it isn't purely a kids show or overly flowery and pink. I hope it's done with care and made to be deeper then skin deep.

It was plasma right? Plasma hair? Is that a thing? Hahaha!

I loved the final episodes and I am glad we got the epilogue to wrap it all up. It felt very weird to watch the "series finale" to a show that has been a big part of my life for the last almost 9 years. It was even weirder seeing Twilight in the Celestia style body and the other characters aged and matured. But it was comforting and inspiring to see them keeping their friendship alive and well after many years. And the shipping, ooooh, the shipping :)! I saw the first traces of pony on the internet in May 2011 and was hooked by June after watching all episodes. This was during the first hiatus when a second season was not confirmed yet (if I remember correctly). I have been on EQD every day since then for the images, music, PMVs, comics, fanfics, discussions and many other topics pony. EQD seems to prepare a weekly episode stream. At 221 episodes plus specials, shorts and EQG this might take over 4 years to finish just to maybe then just start all over :). All in all, I love the little ponies, their world and the people of the fandom over on this side of the screen. /)
