Apple Users
Added 2025-03-03 19:59:37 +0000 UTCIt's been brought to my attention that the Apple app Store now adds up to 50% cost to use apps via their app store! These costs aren't Patreon related, but any subscriptions to my tiers from what I understand are new members only, will incur a % charge from Apple themselves for the privilege of accessing content. This is across all Patreon and other paid apps from my understanding.
IF you have an Apple device, and wish to subscribe, ensure the Patreon app is NOT installed and use Safari to access. Apparently this is fine (I have an android device so can't verify) as you aren't subscribing through the App Store and wont be charged extra.
I don't know why Apple are doing this? but unfortunately there is nothing I can do regretfully. So yeah, if you have an apple device, do NOT use the app store to subscribe. Use the web browser :) Alternatively if you have a PC / Desktop / Laptop. Use this to subscribe to any Patreon artist!

I had I think an iPhone 4 and hated it and that was the only Apple product I have ever owned haha. A few friends have iPhone 11s and up and swear by them, but yeah, it's a no from me 😂

I dunno why it is, but it's Apple that are charging you extra for the privalage of using the App Store which, yeah it's scummy as I'd have thought that the app companies would Pay Apple to be on their store? Not sure how it works, as said I have an android device so I don't really follow Apple products, range and news. I was alerted by Patreon themselves and took it upon myself to let you guys know so you don't get ripped off :)

I haven’t seen a nut hi g telling me I would be charged and I’m sure they snuck it into those stupid terms and service before you update your phone. Thank you so much for clarifying this helps me SO MUCH!!
